imo A Serbian Film and Kill List are different movies (although I do see the similarity) but thematically they're totally different besides the big conspiratorial power and Kill List is much more skillfully put together imo

 

watching The Girl Next Door (not the Elisha Cuthbert one haha) and this movie is fuckedddd

 

Yeah the movie's pretty good, the book is one of my favorites though. Jack Ketchum is the absolute best when it comes to non-supernatural horror.

 

So this is my cousin's directorial debut...

 

That looks really good. Hell of a cast.

 

A few years old now, but if you never saw it, I highly recommend it

 

The original is better (if you haven't seen it already).

 

That movie devastated me emotional, like top ten disturbing films material.

 

i think maybe the weirdest thing was how... sentimental it was. like was it even categorically a horror film? the ending was like a Hallmark movie and i'm not even certain if the film was trying to be scary or just devastating

 

I rec these 2 other Jack Ketchum adaptations. The Lost specifically is a favorite.

 

The opening sequence of The Woman stuck with me for a while after seeing it.

 

Imprint is rough. Takashi Miike is nuts

 

The Woman is SO good. Haven't seen The Lost yet, maybe I will tonight though!

Arguably one of the very best out of MoH, I personally think it's the best one.

Who else is watching Jason tonight

 

For sure. A theater was showing Jason lives tonight, but I think I'm going to settle for whatever is on tv for the obligatory marathon.

 

Yeah there's a showing of Jason Lives tonight and the director will be there, but I think I'm going to save money and stay in watching 7 & 8

 

Just watched Hush, that was fun -- think John Gallager in that role made it even better.

 

Is it creatures? Supernatural? My wife will watch horror movies with me as long as it's not ghosts/demons/etc.

 

Really fun concept! The end reminds me about of silence of the lambs.

 

Goodnight Mommy really was predictable. I shut it off like fifteen minutes before it ended
