the DBFZ beta feels incredible.

 

Coming close to finishing The Fractured But Whole and damn I've fallen in love with it. Started out a bit "samey" but it evolves into some fairly challenging battles and I love that it's basically a huge interactive episode.

 

What am I even looking at?

 

I think I'm going to play Final Fantasy XV again. I completed it when I had Day One edition but never touched it after and don't think I have it a fair shot. Haven't played the DLC and I might have been too negative before. Anyone got any opinions on this since its been out so long now?

 

I was not expecting these collectibles in mafia 3.

 

are you a big fighter guy? i really wanna pick it up but i have basically no experience or skill in classic style 2d fighters so im wary

 

not at all, i used to play Soul Calibur and enjoyed the story mode of Injustice 2 but that’s really it. it is a nice compromise beteeen a “real” fighter and the budokai games, plenty of combos but they’re rarely more than a few inputs

I’m about 4 hours in, and loving the combat.

 

for the people that played mafia 3:

the whole scene after they rob the federal reserve and the Marcano family betray everyone is nuts.

The music is awesome during everything. The whole cutscene just has my blood flowing. It just really made me happy and I'm very excited to keep playing.

Yeah I think it's mainly my fault, I tend to do a shit load of exploring and picking up anything I can really early on in any game rather than focusing on playing some of the story first - I find it ends up hindering my gameplay or enjoyment really because I wander around aimlessly not knowing what I'm picking up, why or what to do next despite my initial thinking "this will help me be the best at the game ahead by getting ahead. Once I start to follow the story and, of course, it naturally unveils a bunch of stuff - it gets better. I did the same with ME: Andromeda.

Loved the music so much, any time Del Shannon came on the radio I wouldn't stop driving until it was done with.

 

I feel like the Twin Peaks universe could make for a great Telltale game

Haha. Despite their misgivings, Telltale have shown in the past that they do have the capabilities of making a good game/story sometimes. I just feel like that universe, with its quirky characters and elements of horror, could really lend itself to a game like that. Not Telltale related, but Life is Strange is clearly influenced, and Virginia as well, but I have yet to see something capture th surrealism of Twin Peaks. I think that would be rad.

 

picked up far cry 4 for $15 at gamester. dont know anything about it, but the employee recommended it
