Right now, the two top matches for Mania are scheduled as Lesnar vs. Reigns and Cena vs. Undertaker. So unless Undertaker changes his mind, and given how hard they promoted him for the 25th Raw and his being backstage at TV in Birmingham on 1/9, it makes that seem unlikely, one would expect the angle for Cena vs. Undertaker to be shot in two weeks on the 25th Raw.

 

that Cena/Taker match is going to be bump-free until the finish I feel like lol

 

Cena/Taker is a few years too late

 

again, if we get Old Man Logan Undertaker back and he's kicking dicks and taking shortcuts again because he's desperate to hold on to his legacy, I'm all in for a couple of matches because that story would be fun.

 

it's way too late but it's the match we should have gotten last year so i'm kinda for it

 

With any luck, maybe Taker will be in better condition with his new hip and can put on one more classic.

 

Fuck yeah i'll take Cena/Taker over 80% of the potential WM match-ups. I hope it happens.

Im oddly more excited for Molly Holly than any of the other potential vet returns. She'd actually work as the person to turn Bayley to the dark side, since her character ran a similar arc

I think most of it had to do with clearing the rights with Anthem. Now that they are on good terms, it seems like its all going to be a go. As @oldjersey said, Don Callis is saving a lost cause.

 

the speculation/rumors i saw were the Broken bullshit was due to Nordholm having Jarrett in his ear. Callis' Impact is v exciting though and I'll def be giving them a month or two of a chance.

 

Not really feeling Taker vs Cena. What are the stakes? The streak is gone and Cena isn't as invincible as he used to be. Seems like a waste of time.

Actually, Taker going over because its his last match might be the only reason to do it, really. Dont want that shitshow with Reigns to be his last in-ring work I guess

 

it would surprise me greatly if Taker went out with a win, seems like the antithesis of what he's about. we'll see!

 

I mean his first WM loss was to Brock in NOLA, I can see him getting some type of redemption there. Especially if it’s his retirement match.

 

Thats why Taker/Cena makes no sense. Neither guy needs it, nor does either get a rub from it.

 

I feel like the way taker went out last year was perfect. Why fudge that up??
