I assume "My Name is the Night" will drop either the 26th or Feb 2, since that and "See You On the Other Side" were the two songs that were temporarily up on Itunes. I listened to the preview of My Name is the Night when that happened and remember it having a great hook, sounded like it made sense as a pre-release song much more than the closer does.

I really can't wrap my head around going with See You On The Other side as a pre-release single, given the style of song it is and its location on the album as the closing track...

That being said, the short sample I checked out on iTunes Australia does sound lovely.

Only reason I could think for releasing this early is that it has a kind of singalong, "lighters in the air" feel moreso than his other soft acoustic songs. Chorus has one of those melodies you could picture an arena of people singing along to (in an alternate universe where Fallon's as big as he should be).

I caved and listened- it's a really beautiful song. In terms of acoustic-based closers, this might be my favorite one he's ever written, which says a lot considering "Red at Night" "National Anthem" and "Open All Night" fall into that category too.

This is fantastic. I'm going to absolutely love this album, he's 3/3 and they're all great.

I still think it's a really odd choice for pre-release single, but this song is incredible. I was enjoying it quite a lot as it played but then when the subtle percussion and handclaps come in partway through it takes it to the next level for me.

Yall crazy, Mojo Hand is a gem and those chorus harmonies are baller

That it comes after the perfection that is Honey Magnolia is even better

I don't think Mojo Hand is a bad song, but it feels so out of place on the album.

I listened to "See You on the Other Side" last night and did not like it at all. I listened twice this morning and now I'm all like "holy shit I love this song."

My girlfriend and I had talked about having "I Will" by The Beatles be the song we have our first dance to at our wedding. Is it wrong that I now wanna make a case for replacing that with this song? Haha

I really want my first dance to be to an incredible live version of The Blue, Mary.

I am trying to not listen to this new track, but I’m always into a new Brian Fallon wedding option, haha. I might cave tonight.

^ 5 minutes later and I caved. Yeah this song is my favorite of the 3 released and it’s so fucking beautiful.

Very odd choice to be released though?

"Forget Me Not" "If Your Prayers Don't Get to Heaven" and "See You On the Other Side", they're on his youtube page.

Definitely an odd choice. Based on what @Craig Manning said earlier about the other tracks and the vibe of these 3 singles, this could potentially top Painkillers for me. February 9th can't come quickly enough.

I didn't dislike it, but this new track didn't do much for me on first listen first thing this morning. I'm hoping that changes in the context of a full album listen.
