It’s probably my favorite song from Lights and Sounds and it still is wouldn’t make my top five from any other album after One for the Kids.

If you think that’s their best album, there is no hope for you anyway!

I say it all the time, I'm definitely in the minority, but Lights and Sounds is easily my favorite Yellowcard album. I just really like the overall darker mood and themes of the album. I never really got into any of their post-hiatus stuff and I don't love Paper Walls as much as everyone else (although I do enjoy it much more than I used to).

Here's the thing with Lights and Sounds for me: I think most of the songs are good, and I agree that the darker mood is pretty singular for them. I just think Ryan sounds capital-A Awful on that record. His vocals really grate on me throughout the entire thing, to the point where even the songs I like aren't all that enjoyable for me to listen to.

I'll post the Final Round in the afternoon. I need some time to make a post worthy of the Finals.

This, except I also think most of the songs are significantly weaker than the rest of their catalog.

    Final scores:

The Sound of You and Me - 8
    Fields and Fences - 9

    Holly Wood Died - 10
    Lift a Sail - 7

So this is it, everything has led to this very moment! After a month of voting and arguing, we have our two finalists!

On one side, we have the Champion of Lights and Sounds, an album that divide the Yellowcard fanbase. Some think it's the worst album, some think it's the best. A round of applause for Holly Wood Died!

On the other side, we have the very last song from the very last Yellowcard album. It has a big meaning for every fan and it's not a surprise it made it this far. Everyone acclaim Fields and Fences!

    Let's do this!

Fields and Fences Vs. Holly Wood Died

Holly is pretty good, but I can't let a L&S song win the entire thing.

I don't think it's the best song on their last album, and there's at least one song on L&S that's better than "Fields and Fences", but I think "Holly Wood Died" is a mediocre song at best.

  18. Fields and Fences, and I'm totally happy with it. Some of these other songs made it a lot further than I'd have let them go if it was just me ranking, but FaF feels like a solid track to end this bracket on.

My vote is Holly Wood Died. I'm glad all these final few rounds were close though.

Kind of fitting that two songs with epic string outros made it to the final, even if one did come from their most disliked album and the other is very different from their normal sound. I'd be happy with either one winning, but vote will have to go to:

    Holly Wood Died

I love Lift a Sail and I think it is interesting that they went with Wind Up in a deliberate attempt at radio, because there is NOT a radio single on that album. The Deepest Well could've maybe had a chance at rock radio, but that's about it.

Between the two I'd have to go with:

    Fields and fences
