I remember looking up Mafia 3 and seeing that it got mediocre reviews. Is it better than the reviews suggest?

Mafia 3 is okay. I liked the story, but I got pretty bored with the repetitive gameplay loop

 

I swear the moose liked it

 

even among tired open world shooters mafia 3's gameplay loop was bad

story is very good though

 

I was sick of Skyrim back in 2011. Honestly can't believe that game's still a thing.

Also I didn't finish Witcher 3 because I got bored.

 

played a bunch more Fallout 4 yesterday and it's a lot of fun, and as someone from Boston I can't tell you how cool it is getting to a new area and being like "oh, yup, I know exactly where I am." still only level 12 I think so obviously not super far.

 

I remember when I was playing AC Syndicate and my sister walked into the room and asked if it was St Paul's Cathedral that I was climbing up. Playing a game set in the 1800s, in the city that I've lived in the majority of my life was very cool to me. Which is maybe why I like that game more than a lot of people do lol

 

It’s why I liked the first 5 minutes of The Last Of Us. A bunch of gridlock and burning cars and panic and I just think “yup this is exactly SXSW”

 

Mafia III was a pretty grindy game for me as it took almost seven months to beat. Game wasn’t interesting enough for me to play it consistently to finish in one go. I had couple substantial breaks separating my time with the game. Still worth checking out if you’ve been looking to play it.

Conversely, a game like Wolfenstein New Order was something I couldn’t put down and became something I beat three times the year it came out. I decided to play it again to get a story refresher for New Collosus (which I now know as a recap at the start of the game lol) and ended up platinuming the game!

 

Gamestop rocks. I bought Prey when it was buy 2 get 1 and I brought it in to trade back and told they guy I played it for 2 hours and hated it. Dude gave me $25 store credit and I only paid like $16 for it.

 

Yes, that game got dumb reviews. It's a very good game. I'm playing it again currently.

 

Yeah Mafia 3 is fucking great, my favorite game from that year. Excellent story/characters

 

Mafia 3 Love warms my heart

 

Mafia 4 gonna be a big step up hopefully since they'll be working on it from the start this time.
