When I was in 2nd grade, I went up to the front of class and sang Outkast’s “Hey Ya” for everybody for some reason (and danced while I did it)

 

....that song came out when I was 17

 

That song was huge for me in 6th grade. I used to always make my mom play it in the car super loud if it came on the radio and I would always say how much I loved that it’s a song about nothing. That is most definitely not a song about nothing lol

yeah I was in like 6-7th grade when that song came out so I feel like I'm right in the middle of ya'll lol

god, i just remembered being 6 years old and propositioning my entire kindergarden class to play Care Bears at recess followed by performing the Care Bear countdown

i was so sensitive it was unreal and my fav realization of adulthood is all those conservative southern teachers totally, 100% thought i was gay

 

This is hilarious

 

it's one of the only memories of my whole life prior to turning 10 years old and it's absurdly vivid lol

 

one of the other ones was having a hide and go seek pillow fight at my buddy's house one december. i was trying to keep up with the older kids and wound up shattering some pieces of the family's porcelain manger scene display. i started weeping and blamed it on the older brother saying he had pushed me.
