Just got my pass today! Going to see Jumanji tomorrow morning to test it out. I'm hoping to be able to still use my Cinemark rewards when I grab my ticket.

If you're able to use your rewards at a kiosk, I recommend going that way

Didn't have a problem with the rewards, I'll have to try the outdoor kiosk next time. I'm already planning to go see Star Wars again on Tuesday. Then hopefully The Shape of Water before the end of the week.

I haven't done rewards anywhere besides AMC, but I've heard stories of people having issues with some theaters not wanting to give them rewards with MoviePass, so I've just been using the kiosk. At AMC the kiosk lets me either scan my card or type in my email address and get rewards points that way.

My closest MoviePass eligible theater is about 4 miles away and has luxury/assigned seating. I buy via kiosk so I haven’t had to deal with anyone. They have a rewards program, but it only applies to concessions purchases, which I usually skip.

MoviePass deposits the exact amount for the ticket based on the price at the theater. So hypothetically, if I could get my theater to charge me $12.75 exactly from the concessions, I could go in everyday and buy a hotdog and soda for lunch. I feel like they would do that for me considering they keep 100% of concessions sales versus a much smaller percentage of ticket sales. Thoughts?

If you get caught, you get your account cancelled/fined. Personally, I enjoy using MoviePass too much to risk it, but hypothetically...

Yeah the thought came to me today as I wondered if card companies know WHAT you purchase, not just how much money you spent at a particular place.

I guess I feel like I'm already getting such a great deal to be able to see up to 31 movies a month for only $10, so why take further advantage of it. I don't feel bad about collecting AMC Stubs points (even though it's technically against AMC's rules) because AMC is still getting their money regardless.

According to reddit they ban people for this all the time. They use terminal ID tracking so they'll figure out what's going on pretty easily.

I haven't seen any of the Insidious films. Can I go see the new one without any prior knowledge?

Interesting. That’s kinda what I was wondering, how they distinguish between ticket sales and concessions. I’ve checked in to a certain movie and then realized that only front row seats were left, and instead bought a ticket to a different movie around the same show time. I know MoviePass sells that data about what movies we watch to marketing companies.

Is Darkest Hour worth watching for someone who's not super into period pieces or war movies?

I’m interested to see it as a companion piece to Dunkirk.

Gary Oldman is great and Joe Wright is a great director, the movie is basically his performance

I finally decided to order mine right now. I am excited it even works on the local $3 movies.

I found Darkest Hour to be fairly boring. Albeit, I've never been much of a history buff. Gary Oldman was fantastic though.

The extended dialog with a mumbling British accent made it difficult to follow. There are certain people who will love it but I’m not one of them.

  25. John Lithgow was so good in The Crown as Churchill that I haven't really felt the desire to watch Darkest Hour.
