Song is fun I hope it makes its way into a dasani commercial

 

Seems to be a bit of a theme in here - caught me off guard the first listen, but on second i dig the hell out of this.

 

I have no idea how I feel about this on first listen lol

 

Okay second listen I already like it more haha

 

It grew on me as the song progressed.

... why did everyone think this was a country themed album again?!

 

Love it, really great. Love how dirty/filthy (lol) it all sounds production wise.

 

Lyrically I kinda zoned out but the production was lit

 

Ok I definitely dig this.

 

It sounds like an intro/opening track. It’s cool.

 

The line "Baby, don't you mind if I do/Exactly what you like times two" makes me think he is intentionally setting us up with something familiar before subverting expectations. Especially when combined with the way the track ends on Spotify

me on first listen: "why does justin timberlake always confuse me on his first single? i hate this"

me on second, third, fourth, to tenth listen: "why can't i get this song out of my head? why is it so good?"

 

I did not like anything about that song.

 

It sounds like a 2 minute interlude stretched out over a whole song. The beat is nasty though so I'm ok with getting four and half minutes of it.

Gotta applaud JT for doing something weird and different, whether you like the song or not.

At first I thought it was weird in a bad way, but as it progressed I came around to it being weird in a good way. Also, yeeeeeahhhhhh that chorus is a goddamn earworm and a half.

 

Second listen: THIS IS A BANGER

 

Also, the way the album cover is a photo of him split in half in two different settings. Is he somehow going to bridge these two genres or bring them together on the same album?

I'm intrigued to see.

 

Really dig this.

 

Song sounds a lot like Automaton by Jamiroquai. Not awful but not a strong performance piece given Timberlake's talent.

Remember in like 1998 when the internet was new and stupid shit was funny just because of computers, and there was that video of that green female alien singing "I Will Survive", and everybody and their mom loved it? That's what this music video will be in 20 years.

 

Listening on my headphones now, but like they said, this seems like this needs to be play LOUDDDDDDD

I never like his first singles much, but this is crazy ridiculous

 

weird as hell and i really like it, been stuck in my head all morning. still can't believe we're only a month out from the record too.
