I’m so bored I’m gonna try to find my old rock band drums tomorrow and fire up the old 360. I really wish the licensing wasn’t dumb and I would definitely pick up rock band 4 if it wasn’t.

    1. Gone Home is more interactive than a lot of walking simulators.
    2. I explained what I think is so cool about Gone Home in subsequent posts.
    3. Firewatch is also cool in a very similar way. As is Stardew Valley by the way, and maybe Life Is Strange.
    4. I didn't really enjoy The Stanley Parable.

I love GH, but What Remains might actually be the better game. Some of those moments in that game are incredible

Stardew Valley and LiS have way more depth than Gone Home. And neither are walking simulators. It's okay you didn't enjoy TSP but it does more with its writing than Gone Home.

What are 3 relevant walking simulators less interactive than Gone Home? Ones people actually played.

Shit what's that game that was absolutely gorgeous visually, and you followed peoples ghost-like visions?

Gone Home allowed you to pick up and moved around so much stuff in the house. It felt lesss static than most games.

Also, I did not say LIS and SV are the same type of game as Gone Home lmao. I said they are cool in similar ways.

    This one?

I played through this awhile back. Pretty fun game.

Yes, you can but a lot of it feels empty when many items outside of notes/journals serve no purpose.

Cool in similiar ways is vague and why bring them up if you weren't lumping them in the same type of game?

Yep, that's what we've been discussing the last couple pages.

It's not vague because in one of my posts after my original GH post I explained what I think makes it "cool". Stardew Valley and Life Is Strange also sort of give me that same vibe, which is why I mentioned them. Also, if "cool" is too vague for you, why attack my original post (and GH) by providing allegedly better alternatives to GH? Maybe cool doesn't necessarily mean good? I didn't "Gone Home is the gameplay king" after all, haha.

I think comparing walking simulators gets nobody anywhere by the way, it's barely a genre and the individual games are made with very specific purposes that rarely have anything to do with gameplay.

No, it was another walking simulator. I found it though. Vanishing of Ethan Carter

"The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is set in an open world environment, in which the player can roam around and explore at will. The player can use paranormal abilities in order to solve crimes, such as sensing where important objects are located and reassembling the timeline of events tied to a certain death."

I have heard that What Remains of Edith Finch may be the best of all walking simulators. Haven't played it yet though.
