Can't beat classic Spurs home and away jerseys. Not a big fan of the newer large spur logo jerseys.

Liked the early 2000s Vince carter era raptors jersey. I actually liked the purple for Toronto
    Vancouver Grizzlies for sure
Classics like the Bulls and celts
Pretty much any green mavs jersey also

Do you expect to re-up Marvin and Batum? Marvin picked a great year to to play awesome. Definitely let Al Jeff walk. Can always bring him back if it makes sense later.

the spurs had only lost 1 game at home all year, and this series have lost 2 at home. wild.

  4. Batum has been labeled as priority #1 by Clifford and Cho. Batum has also said he'd like to stay. So I expect a deal to be done. For Williams, there's mutual interest there as well but I have mixed feelings. He might be looking for more money than I'm comfortable giving him. Same goes for Lin. He wants to stay and said he'd take a discount to stay. But I don't know if he'll like what I think Cho will offer. Courtney Lee is the other big piece that's a free agent. I'd like to trade Lamb and make room for Lee to return.

So in short, Batum will get paid. Everyone else wants to stay it just depends on the price tag and if we make a splash on Dwight or another big.

Makes sense about Batum. A legit wing that can shoot the three. When you get one you have to keep him. I like the idea of keeping Lee too. I don't believe you can trade Lamb. Isn't he a UFA? Regardless, I think you guys have strong cap room (like every team but the Cavs) and a good core in tact returning. I think there will need to be a decision on whether to go big game hunting and risk losing the Lees, Lins, and Marvins of the world, or sitting back and letting the market sort itself and move on the next tier guys.

lamb signed a reasonable extension back in november. i think the hornets are in good shape though, if they can return most of the core except for al and even williams. a team of kemba, batum, mkg, and an improving kaminsky. can not complain about that.

  7. Lamb signed an extension early in the season. 3 year, 21m deal kicks in next season. I'd love to package him and Hawes in order to dump some salary. It'd create room for Lee or Marvin. I only see one of the two staying. I think it'll be easier to find a 3 and D player to come off the bench than a stretch 4/potential 3 like Marvin so I'd say he has the edge in priority.

    Kemba-Lin
    Batum-FA
    MKG-Marvin
    Frank/Marvin-#22
    FA (Dwight)-Zeller

That'd be the core which would put us in the top 4 of the East imo

Oh, so is HH not updated with it then? I know they haven't updated Kyrie yet.

it actually infuriates me when the NBA come out a day later and are like "oh yeah, that was a foul last night that wasn't called", it just shows how incompetent they have been all playoffs.

If I was running the show, I would agree with your FO on Batum and try to agree to a general contract term and number early and then dive head first into the pool with everyone else on Horford. I would keep Marvin and his camp engaged. Heck, signing Horford would not impact me re-upping with Marvin. I would not be too worried about the cap because the Hornets sit nicely today with the Lamb extension and the jump this year and next is significant. I get the idea of Dwight, but I think Horford would be a nice fit with the brand of ball you play. He is a player that makes you materially better than what you are right now. Gotta at least grab a number at the BMV, ya know? At that point, Hawes, Zeller, and Frank either become depth assets or trade assets. Courtney Lee, you most likely have some flexibility with. He is probably at a point where the playoffs and contract term are more important. He has sort of bounced around as a trade piece to make trades work financially. I think he is yours if you want him back. I lean towards him being a pretty good value player, but won't stop you from trying to upgrade the position either. Trades would be where I try to go hunting to see what can be obtained. Not saying I have to trade anyone, but the 1st rounder, MKG, Zeller, Lamb, Frank, and Hawes will allow you to gauge the market a bit.

  11. So much cap space this offseason. Gonna be so many dumb contracts

So many players gonna wind up with the Max. It's gonna be gross. I hope Danny stays smart.

Any team will regret paying a regressing Dwight 30 mil unless he's your 3/4 best player

He still thinks he has a better offensive game than he does, and the free throws will drive you nuts

"bad fit" or not the Rockets overall went further than they have in awhile with him (WCF) but he isn't the same rim protector for an entire game anymore. It's maddening that he won't run the PnR more and he'd rather post up awkwardly for stretches.

  15. I definitely prefer Horford over Howard although I'm fine with either. I was just trying to predict what I think will happen. But yeah, Horford would be a great fit for the Hornets.

Horford isn't a rim protector, hes just a more versatile version of Aldridge. Just saying that because you've mentioned the need of rim protectors. I think Whiteside is okay, he has the ability to develop into a better one since hes pretty young now. Its not easy to find someone who could score a lot and be a top rim protector though. Meh

A guy that is probably available that would fit on your team from a rim protection standpoint, but not change the way you're playing is Noel.

  18. I've read John Henson might be available. He isn't as flashy as some of the other names but I like the little I've seen from him recently.

  19. Horford isn't the "rim protector" type but he's still solid defensively. Much better than Al was defensively, but that isn't saying much.

even if Miami goes down tonight, Toronto won't win Game 6 on Miami's home floor. Either team is going to take Cleveland's foot up the ass but may as well fight for the right to.

It's not exactly fair for either team without having Val and Whiteside. But this series feels like it belongs in the prior decade in terms of style. The Raptors remind me of those early aughts Nets teams for some reason.
