That Everton team would deserve to be relegated.

I wish the stadiums were still named after the street they were built on so Leicester's was called Raw Dykes Road or w/e the street is the KP is built on.
Yeah but it's a lifetime stadium ban at Upton Park :P

West Ham are still moving into that gaudy Olympic Stadium, right? And Spurs are in the middle of building a new one?

Sunderland are such a waste of space team. Not that Newcastle staying up would be any better, mind.

I like Sunderland more than any of the other teams that got relegated. Always fun watching them struggle to survive then manage it with 2 games left.

Though it's kind of a shame that last night and tonight's games mean that there's very little to play for on the final game. No title fight, no relegation places, not much going on for top four. Just some minor scrambles for Europa, seeing if Arsenal can leapfrog Tottenham (which would be hilarious to be fair), and seeing which of the Manchester teams will bumble their way into the top four.

I'm going to assume that Wednesday will be a championship team next season, so I think the task of getting out of that division next season will be a lot tougher now.

Newcastle will have to sell a few but will have some pulling power in the transfer market over the rest of us. The 3 play off losers will all be up there, as will Norwich. Expecting Wigan to be challenging as well. Should be a very interesting championship next season.

Are the Dynamo for real this year?

@Jeff, what in the fuck is going on there? Is this a Coyle thing or is this a player thing? Or both even? This must really suck to hear and I'm sorry, but I am struggling to recall any team since I began watching MLS that was this bad. This Dynamo team seriously has me just shaking my head.

  21. Correct on both accounts

    I'm dead inside.

But really, it's a player thing, but it's Coyle and our GM's fault for assembling such garbage players in the first place. I mean, we are BAD. Rico is the only player that would fit on a top MLS team. Look at our lineup...Mansally, Anibaba, and Alex have no business being NEAR a starting XI. They bring in two Spanish players, hype them up, and they've proven to be completely out of depth. They pay millions of dollars for Torres and give him one start. They reward Bruin, who wouldn't start for 3/4th's of MLS teams, with a massive contract extension. Your captain is Giles Barnes, who has shown no indication of leadership qualities or ability to find consistency. You had a RB/LB combo in Sarkodie and Ashe that took you to two straight MLS Cups (and the conference championship the next year), and you pay a 33 year old DMB more than their combined salaries and ship them off. Boniek Garcia is the most talented player on the roster and he has started 3 games, I think all of which have been out of position. You alienate Brad Davis and force him out against his will, which is the most egregious of all moves, and the final blow to a storied and established culture around this team.

You expect a new regime to blow things up, but they broke what wasn't broken, and failed to fix what needed fixing.

As a Toon fan I'd like to say I'm devastated by the result but it's been along time coming.

We're the next Leeds when it comes to poor management.

Hurts even more seeing how right West Ham owners are getting it.

The club has simply been torn apart and reduced to nothing by Mike Ashley, Lee Charnley and Graham Carr. It wouldn't surprise me if we needed up going down another tier.

I'm not going to lie for a second, this post makes me really sad. I've never had anything against the Dynamo so to see this happen to a team whose fans are really getting screwed over just rubs me the wrong way. I'd like to see more Cubo and maybe something new along the back, but idk how that's gonna happen at this point. Just all around sad, really. Sorry, man

It is what it is. We were all on board to change things after Dom's last season. They took risks, which is admirable, but whatever they were going for hasn't panned out. Now we have to blow it up again. That's just how it goes sometimes.

I'll say that the teams that won our 2 cups and then reached 2 more were founded on camaraderie in the locker room and strong leadership. We don't have an ounce of that. We don't have a likeable group of players, and that's what makes it hardest to care through tough times.
