That's so weird. On 360/PS3? Because I remember bouncing off the original version on the 360, can't remember why though. Seemed very polished on Xbox One though, I had zero problems and I played the whole game.

Nope, first time. Had downloaded awhile back when it was on Games With Gold and just randomly decided to try it out. Knew nothing about it going in. It was alright. I wouldn't have paid money for it. Story was not quite what I was expecting.

Gone Home was cool in a way most video games aren't. I think about it a lot.

Did you play What Remains...? Reminds me of Gone Home.

I've heard conflicting things, but I'm interested. What it has in common with Gone Home are not the things about Gone Home that impressed me though, it was more about the style and vibe of the game.

Style and vibe is what reminds me of GH. What conflicting things have you heard? It's a very short game, but fits a lot of (depressing) story in that short amount of time.

Gone Home is like a 90s post hardcore album in video game form. From what I heard about the other game, it's more "fantastical", or no?

Oh yeah, from that aspect for sure. But it's about exploration in a house, with a somewhat heart-breaking subject matter. But yeah, Finch is definitely more surreal.

I think what's so great about it IS the fact that it isn't what you were expecting.

I love that game alot and think about it quite often.

My wife actually does too but in a much less positive way. Haha

Ha, yeah I enjoyed it for sure. Kept me intrigued. Just the way the game is presented, I was expecting a horror exploration type game, which it is not at all.

For sure, it kept me in the edge of my seat expecting jump scares and whatnot and was completely surprised when none if that happened whatsoever.

My wife was watching me play and for her it just pissed her off that there's was no/not enough "payoff"

I'm glad you played it and were able to enjoy it though.

Cool In that you don't do anything interesting? Or barely interact with the game environment? A lot of games have done the minimalist style much better. Firewatch, Edith Finch, Stanely Parable

I really liked the story of Gone Home and how it unfolds the more you explore the house.
