it's crazy unique. it took 30 years, but with Pyre and Rocket League, non-sports fans like myself finally have some fucking sports games to play lol.

but seriously, it's so very good. ironically night in the woods will prob be my next.

i really dig that you play most of the PS+/GWG games @Colby Searcy. how long have you been doing that/what have some of the biggest hits been?

 

This is the first COD I’ve played consistently since Black Ops II so it’s been a while. I got WWII for Christmas and I’m already around the low 30s for my level. Those quick scopers are still a pain in the ass and the incendiary shotgun up close is nearly unbeatable. Some things it can work on, but I think it’s still one of the better COD games. The campaign is one of the best for sure too.

Well here's the thing, I don't have PS+ so I've actually had to pay for those games lol. I do have XBL and have played some of those but funnily enough here lately, the games that were GWG were games that I was looking into buying anyways hah.

So really most of the games given away for Free are most of what my gaming habits gravitate towards anyway lol. I'm mainly into shorter story driven games as to large expansive ones.

Some recent ones I really enjoyed though are The Turing Test, OXENFREE, and Layers of Fear for X1.

PS4 wise The Unfinished Swan was fantastic and different from what I expected going in; Ether One was cool too but more challenging than I expected to get the trophies; Among The Sleep was pretty creepy and a neat concept.

Those are some I've played recently in the past year or so.

 

i'm v satisfied that TT Batman Season 1 is on PS+ this month. perfect example of a game i want to play but don't want to pay for. i'm not buying another TT game until they do more than the bare minimum scotch tape trick and get a better engine

 

I loved TT Bats but I'm biased. Also I think they did change the engine for that game plus going forward.

Those games are also my shit.

 

i remember them talking about "improvements", but just different rendering tech on the same engine, and saw the same complaints online at release. last one i paid for was GoT and i had my choices/progress dumped twice lol

 

I almost bought TT Batman a few weeks ago. Glad I didn't lol

 

Damn that's rough, I must be one of the lucky ones that's not had issues with any TT game or maybe I just don't know enough to know if I do or not haha

I'm heads over heels in love with AC:O. I did not expect this.

i've never had an issue with a TT game either, dunno if you also play on PC but from anecdotal evidence on this thread it seems like it's usually an issue with them on consoles.

 

I'm all console. Played on 360, X1, and PS4

I'm pretty happy with PS+ this month too. Interested in all three games but doubt I'd ever buy them.

i am def interested in Oxenfree - got that with GWG obvi so it's on my shortlist of things to play. Unfinished Swan as well, I remember the hype for that one back when.

I just started playing Pyre, love that. a fantasy world's version of basketball/soccer. a generic indie platformer called Jump Jet Rex. nothing interesting because 90% of my gaming time is couch multiplayer in some game with my roommate. i feel like i only put a couple of hours into a single player game a week. -_-

 

Swan is pretty short even if you are a completionist, probably 4-6 hours max.

Oxenfree is a bit longer than that (at least it was for me) but the story is bonkers and definitely worth it.
