Mark listens to Love pt 2 for the first time. Immediately kicks out Matt, lets Tom join so they can make Love pt 3 for blink. This time with longer intros/outros but Feldmann still produces it and puts na nas on each track. Travis gets fascinated with drum machines, but only with a simple kick/snare 4/4 beat. Tom yodels for the chorus of each song, Yelawolf does every bridge

Would you love that?

 

If it was Catchy and I liked what I heard sure.

I don't get a sense they're as urgent as they were when Mark said they'd be writing by the end of the year. I feel like they'll probably let Trio do something now and take a little break.

 

Ya know, LOVE 1 to me was a fine AVA album. I gave it a listen recently and sure lyrically it’s not hard-hitting and musically very repetitive, but it reminds me of a time when I adored Tom’s music and when Tom cared about music.

LOVE 2 could have been fine as an EP made up of Saturday Love, Surrender, Anxiety, My Heroine, and All That We Are’s guitar solo.

He certainly overdid it. But years later I don’t think too poorly on that era based upon how everything turned out.

 

What dark as fuck black mirror episode is this!?

 

First the username change, now this. I guess this is growing up.

 

100% feel this way too. That album started with such promise and then just nosedived by track 5 (except for All That We Are).

 

I wouldn't be opposed to have Mark, Matt and Travis bunkered up in a house and just pitch ideas off of each other and take their time recording the next album like they did for the Untitled one.

 

The whole Untitled process (+ the album launch special) has always made it my dream that one day I’ll rent out a house and spend a year recording in it with bandmates

That’s the dream for sure :)

 

But not for a year I’d go insane haha

 

Yup, that was the plan for the follow up album to Neighborhoods before Tom left/quit again. Would have been really interesting to see what that album would have sounded like.
