I won't buy it or even listen to it.

 

Like, I liked most of his music but this just seems weirdly forced and off putting.

 

@Larry David I was looking over your 2017 albums list for an idea of how to format. It looks like you only included 2017 releases? I think that'd make it the easiest for me - to only include 2018 releases in my 2018 list. The whole ++,+, *,-,-- thing is kinda cool I guess, but I could see that getting a bit overwhelming. Plus, I'd hate to judge something after my initial listen and then have to go back through my list and update throughout the year.

Oh I missed that! I'm still benching myself so haven't been back in that thread much since.

The person I'm paired with this session is a big Circa fan and hasn't listened to Hail The Sun yet, so I thought this was the perfect opportunity.

Goddamnit is still my favorite, but this is a close second.

I list on the new records, yes. I had tried to keep track of all the records, but it was too overwhelming. I list all of the ones from the current year, and bold records that I would consider for my end of the year list, so I can easily sort them at the end of the year! I hope you stick with it, it's fun!

Yeah, I'm not sure if I will give them a rating at the time yet either. I might highlight my favourite albums of the month or something - IDK?

 

It’s not a good record and “Private Eye” is easily their most overrated (and, IMO, one of their worst) songs.

Jeff Rosenstock's new album is on Apple Music now (wasn't on there yesterday when I looked) so I'm going to hopefully give that a listen today and start my list off right.

 

Did you play their album Culture Scars? Its good. I still need to listen to Wake but yeah that EP/band is a perfect rec for any Circa fan. I've yet to listen to his other band Sianvar.

 

I encourage you to, it worked well for me!

I'm excited that record is up, I was bummed when I checked yesterday and it wasn't!

That's the first on my 2018 Albums list, great record.

 

I think it's quite a bit better than Goddamnit.

Private Eye (I like it!), Mr. Chainsaw, Take Lots With Alcohol, Another Innocent Girl, Armageddon, and Crawl are all songs that I love.
