Oh yeah. Get an amp that has beautiful cleans. AC30, a Fender or even a Hughes & Kettner are great platforms for pedals.

 

That's why I said nerd style after.

 

@ComedownMachine if you want to get real fancy you can get one of those Roland Chorus amps super cheap used they’re THE CLEANEST. Most shoegaze bands swear by them.
