I just can't imagine talking so much about a game I dislike haha, unless it was something I actively wanted to enjoy and couldn't, and wanted to get perspective

 

Hey I don't bring it up that often, especially not out of nowhere, but you can't expect me to let an easy opportunity like that slide lmao

 

It seems like 80% of the time the game comes up there's some kind of snarky remark about it haha

If I seem defensive it's because I am, I like the game a lot and it had a profound impact on me (even if it is just a video game and isn't "the next great american novel" or whatever). It's perfectly okay that you don't like it and you're free to express the opinion. But sometimes you've made me feel bad about liking it because of how belittling you can be about it so I want to say something about it

I want to see what Yoko Taro can do with a AAA budget

 

On a regular basis I have been playing PUBG, Overwatch, Nba2k18, Assassin's Creed Origins. Just recently bought Agents of Mayhem, Killing Floor 2, Dead Rising triple pack, Inside. Have a 100 games installed so I could jump on quite a few games depending on who is on what or what game I'm in the mood for.

Dead rising 2 is still so much fun

 

It's a fantastic game.


God I have so many memories of playing 1 for the first time.

nope, i firmly agree with Dustin. this thread is often the most negative one i've visited in a given day. a lot of "THIS GAME IS TRASH". between gamers and Star Wars fans i just want to go to sleep when i see someone talking in egregious superlatives.

 

Lol, feel better. But in reality it wasn't really directed at you. More how this thread just repeats itself and we're back in hot takes mode. In a day or so it'll be talking about top 10 games of whatever.

Yeah the thread does seem to go in cycles and I'm guessing that'll be the case for the rest of the next couple of months while the "GOTY"/year catchup stuff happens or whatever

Nier Automata is dope. Amazing game.

You're honestly better off just watching youtube videos that explain all of it, and Drakangard. The first nier is an average game I think everyone needs to experience.

Yeah I've been thinking about just finding youtube videos that explain the plot, or even at least a playthrough online. I was gonna stomach it and play through the whole thing but I got locked behind a fishing quest that I couldn't do because my vision wouldn't allow me to see what I was supposed to look for to catch the damn fish hahaha

Just youtube it. And all the Drakangard games. There's one series on YouTube that goes through all the games and all their endings and it's a fantastic recap of everything and explains it well. There's so many endings across the series that it's just not worth suffering through the gameplay and abstract decisions after playing Automata
