Lol I thought that was dumb too and especially frustrating because that whole part was hard as shit at the time.

i was unaware that you could use your bow as well haha, i thought i was stuck with just the giant fork. made things a bit easier. i have since defeated all 4 monster camps.

Haha yeah, the bow makes things MUCH easier. The difficulty of Trial of the Sword had me thinking you had to do all 4 in one go. So happy it wasn't that intense.

I wish Trial of the Sword lasted forever. That was fantastic. Surprisingly for me the hardest part were the beginning trials. I did the final ones in one take

I’ve got 4 shrines left and goddamn it’s hard to track them down

So I only have 1 more Divine Beast left. I have done about 60 shrines. I want to complete all the shrines, but I could see myself completing a lot of the game after i defeated Ganon.

Right now I’m at about 70 hours of playtime in and I realized i was stressing out too much about trying to stretch my first play through to like 150 hours or something. I realized I just need to enjoy the game fully and move through the main story at whatever pace feels natural for me, then I can go back and finish everything after - again at my own pace. That really is one of the many beauties of this game, you can literally do it however you want.

I feel like I’m far enough into the game to have a formulated opinion on where it stands to other Zelda’s for me. It’s my second favorite ATM, still behind Ocarina. I think the one thing holding it back from being my first favorite, is even though it’s the longest Zelda game, the main quest seems kind of short. Does anyone else feel this way? It’s one of my only complaints

Like i love this direction, but if this is the direction Zelda is moving in, I know they can top it. Like gimme a BOTW game that has a story as thick as OoT.

And I get that the Shrines are meant to be like “the new dungeons” since the Divine Beasts are so different from conventional Zelda dungeons. But I do think in the next Zelda release I’d love to see more main dungeons again, like at least 6, where they all look different and have their own personalities. Dungeons that will last like 3-5 hours of playtime.

But really, I’ve been head over heels for BOTW. It’s just so different from any Zelda game that it makes it easy to realize things you would change in the future. But I love the direction they’re taking this series. I have more positives than negatives (I mean hell I just said it’s already my second favorite Zelda game ever)

Like BOTW is sick but it’s also a blueprint for future greatness.

I don't want more story. At least not if it makes the game more linear and stops the flow of gameplay more often via cutscenes and so on.

Also, I never liked dungens, I personally prefer the BotW model.

Yeah it's supposed to be the ultimate 2D Zelda game. I guess a 2D Zelda game must have been in the works for a while now, but who knows if it will come to 3DS at this point, unless it really relies on the two screens.

i'd be thrilled about it but what i really want is a 4 Swords on Switch with single joycon support.

I honestly didn’t enjoy the divine beasts and definitely hope they go back to actual dungeons.

I liked them a lot, except for the bosses, but I also don't like the concept of boss fights.

I think a lot of tight little shrines are better than a few large dungeons personally.

i loved the guardians and really won't be fussed if they stay the course for a few more 3D titles... as long as i still get 2D titles with dungeons as well

I want both Shrines and large dungeons though. I love the shrine concept, but the divine beast concept I don’t love as much. I would love it more if they were different maybe. Instead of all of them being the same color scheme / activating 5 terminals every time. I think that’s half of the beauty of dungeons in past Zelda games, just the way they’re all so different from one another. The divine beasts lack that imo.
