He probably didn't match the bid because he didn't want to take on debt to take the team, which would let him out more into it

 

Now the rumor is Frazier/Adams/Andujar for Cole and Harrison? That's terrible. I'm so sick of this one dragging on. This feels so much like something Cashman needs to just walk away from at this point

 

I don’t 100% get the hype on Cole. I understand he has ace material but hasn’t had ace results aside from 2015. Of course, I’m aware of his injury history and that an established starting pitcher with 3 years of control is attractive

Cole was a top 30 pitcher last year in terms of WAR and top 25 in terms of xFIP. I suspect he will get a tad bit better since that was his worse year yet. I think the hype is warranted. The question I have is whether the price is worth it, but that won't be determined until well after he's traded.

 

I’m sure the Reds will be true contenders, probably ten years from now.

Lol I find it funny when people don't understand the circumstances around the Torres for Chapman trade as compared to now.

 

I know nothing about Josh Harrison, but looking at his stats they may as well should've just kept Castro. NY shouldn't be so hot to ship out Andujar, I think they feel like Machado is a lock but I don't. Philly can go crazy on their offer for him.

That's awful. I'm glad she was able to get her story out though. I'm curious what, if anything the team will do.
