I underestimated when I got my Air several years ago just how quickly I’d use up 120gb of flash storage. Is there any work around for this or really efficient programs for deleting old files? I may start needing it for a new job as my primary computer which has me worried lol

If you have a usb slot you can spare, you can get one of these to add an extra 128gb storage. It has a low profile so it doesn’t stick out hardly at all.

Got an Apple TV for Christmas. What should I know about this thing?

If you download apps you can do things.

Edit: in all seriousness it’s a fun tool that is quite useful if you’re looking to cut the cable chord. One thing I would recommend and Jason can speak to it better than I is the Plex app. If you set things up right that is a very powerful app.

I got back-ordered AirPods for Christmas from my mom, so I have to pick them up from the apple store on Jan 5. Very stoked but I wish I had a toy to play with today while my mom plays with her new Kindle. Hahaha.

I definitely need to do some more reading on Plex, but I do have some friends that love it and use it with theirs. Mostly looking for some apps that aren't the obvious streaming ones right now hahah

  12. Altos Adventure is fun on it.

Plex is amazing. And the TV app is way better to use than Amazon’s for their content.

Thinking about getting a S3. Is LTE worth the extra money? How's the battery life?

I don't wear mine when I'm at home, but anytime I leave the house for work or whatever, I put it on. I can go two and a half days usually without having to charge it.

I haven't used the cellular on it much, but it's been handy a couple times taking a phone call when I left my phone in my apartment. Also, my carrier gave me three months of cellular free + I got a p steep discount on the watch itself - for me, I wouldn't have gotten the cellular version otherwise.

I want to buy a MacBook but can't decide between MacBook and MacBook Pro.

I've read all the reasons and still can't choose. (Base model in each case)

Portability is tempting me with MB over MBP but I haven't physically held either so I'm going to go and do that at some point. Would probably use for basic word processing and web use but better spec on MBP for same price is the other thing keeping me from deciding. Even if I don't use it now it, thinking futureproofing.

Thoughts from those using them daily?

I kind of like the idea of just throwing the MB in my bag for work though. Especially for meetings

But is the 13-in MBP really that much more cumbersome

If money is not the issue I'd go MBP, but for me any money i could save was a plus. The saleswoman asked me straight up what are you using it for, I said everyday web browsing, streaming videos/music, etc. and she said the 13" MB was probably better suited for me. I appreciated her not just immediately trying to upsell me on the MBP, I'm sure she could have convinced me if she wanted to. My friend has the MBP and it's a little heavier/bulkier but not by much.

Having come from an older pro, the new Pro feels very light and portable. The MacBooks are impressively thin and light but i think the pro is close enough for it to not be much of a knock against it.
