My parents used to rage against the "gateway drug" and now smoking a bowl on Christmas is the new tradition

 

I used to work in restaurants in various positions and would ALWAYS smoke before/at work. You get pretty used to it after a while and it's not a big deal. I just always worried about smelling like it more than anything.

I used to deliver pizza, and I'd show up an hour early for every shift and meet one of the dudes that worked in the kitchen and we'd smoke 2 blunts before going to work. It was kinda crazy.

Another time, working in a different restaurant, I was going to be going to a concert after work, so I took an edible with me and ate it 15 minutes before my shift ended, so that it would kick in about the time I was getting to the show. Of course my supervisor decides to have this "come to Jesus" talk with me at the end of my shift, telling me about how much potential I have and how I'm a great employee, but if I just pushed myself a little more and showed more initiative I could be a manager... meanwhile the edible is kicking in BIG TIME.

 

That's how I am. It'll take me longer but my grade would always be around the same.

 

i smoked before class a bunch of times this semester which was a very bad idea but i ended up getting As in all of those classes so whatever i guess

 

Why is it a thing for people in the restaurant industry to smoke? How did that start?

Because working in a restaurant SUCKS. At least in the US.

 

High pressure, high stress. Smoking weed is such a great way to unwind after or during haha

 

The food service industry is the worst, I am so glad I'm out of kitchens now. I could never get high for service, but sometimes me and another guy would let the guy who was closing go home and smoke for an hour then come back to clean up lol.

 

Every service industry job I had post-high school was pretty much a big party after a certain point. For years at the delivery job I had there was a shift 3 nights a week where 5 out of 7 people there were dealers in one way or another so everyone was smoking like crazy all night.

 

My restaurant job is so tame in comparison but I always have money for pot and that's the important thing

 

It feels like it's been ages since I've been high and in fact it has been a while so I guess my tolerance lowered back down cause I haven't been this high in a minute

 

I have been sooo sick this week and have only smoked like twice. I just want to be able to take a big bong rip again haha :(

So I'm staying in a hotel in mass for a family thing, but I use bud for my insomnia.. it's windy and freezing outside so the smell of smoke would definitely stay in the room if we tried blowing out the window... I know Mass is legal now, but not smoking in public. Anyone know if that's just a fine if caught smoking outside? XD

 

If you're smoking away from people I wouldn't worry about it.

 

Yeah, I smoke outdoors in Texas where they will shoot you for weed, so if no one's around and you're in a legal state, GO FOR IT

 

smoking outside in mass is fine. if you're blowing it in someones face something might happen.

 

Pens are where it's at for the outdoors. Also, indoors.

I’m in MA too and I smoked outside almost daily through the holidays, in a heavily patrolled area, across the street from a school. You’ll be fine haha.

 

man the carefree-ness of a legal state. can't wait for florida to finally catch up.... although I might live in washington by then anyway ha

 

idk why i dont get notifications to this thread.

but holidays was bomb. since the cousins now in their late 20s, the older relatives are more comfortable with weed talk. the aunties talked about taking edibles for the first time during thanksgiving. it was fun being able to answer their questions and educate them. found out my stepdad travels to cali to work with his brother at his dispensary/farm. he slipped us a few ounces of shake. made some great edibles using the crockpot for 8 hours.

also washington is nice, come over. make sure you save up a shit ton of money because it's hella expensive. oregon is also sweet, you can actually touch the product and inspect as opposed to washington.
