Right but once they reached the top speed to stay ahead, fuel is irrelevant as in space they are going to continue at that speed and remain ahead of the first order, they couldve just powered down and went on for forever on momentum alone. But all of that didnt matter because they just so happend to stumble upon an old resistence base with the exact amount of fuel needed to light speed through all the star destroyers. Lucky them!

  5. They need fuel to power the ship/shields ... all that.

Going to that planet was the plan.

    and a millions screams...

Also the 3 million difference was because this year had a week lull before Christmas. TFA opened Friday with the very next Friday being the holiday. No time for the small drop off with that one.

  8. Yeah, that's what I though too. Probably had an impact on when kids are off from school as well.

  9. The weird hyper nitpicks are pretty funny for this movie, I can only think of what woulda happened in the past:

“She’ll make point five past lightspeed."

Internet in 1977: "Well actually, that's not fast enough to travel between galaxies."

    Leia changes clothes on Endor.

Internet in 1977: "How did the ewoks have clothes to make for her so fast!"

I find this IMBD demographic breakdown to be pretty telling.

    Oh man... this is awkward...

  15. The boomers ruined everything. My generation just complains all the time about everything. We're the lost/not quite millennials. We hate women Ghostbusters and stuff.

  16. My half assed internet research says there's some obscure-ish book (Star Wars in 100 Scenes) that says they had to "change to the backup hyperdrive" and it actually took months. And that's when Han and Leia totally do the dirty. However, apparently this book is no longer canon.

    So ... weird.

Heh. What are the odds those 3,000 men totally yell at women on Twitter via anonymous accounts?

One of the few "jobs" I'd 1000% take without thinking about it.

Every time they make a new movie it gets more and more complicated and twisted so it’s good to know there’s a group there to sort of get is straight.

It’s weird there’s this huge expanded made up universe that people care about being perfectly factual more than actual history lol. Like most people fact checking every action in this movie are the same people who will share anything on fb that supports what they believe regardless if it is factual news.

Holdo is easily one of my favorite parts of this movie. Her demeanor towards Poe was off-putting, and rightfully so cause it set up her sacrifice and plan perfectly. Her dialogue and delivery was really great too. If her death wasn't the coolest and possibly my favorite scene of the movie, i'd of loved for her to have made it to IX.

Somewhere pages ago someone asked if Ahch To had dual suns or if it was just what Luke saw in the moment. According to the visual guide, it does actually orbit dual suns.

Laura Dern is always a treat. It’s a shame we probably won’t see her in future films (unless she pops up in a spin-off). Isn’t there a book that mentions some background to her character?
