    Just awful.

I couldn’t be a creator with the twitter verse existing at the same time.
Would get way too worked up

As much as I believe a big reason for the low audience scores on various websites is primarily bots and trolling, I'm increasingly worried we're in "Disney plays the next 5 movies too safe" territory. An extra bummer when there's ways in which I thought even this one could've been riskier.

Fwiw, still have yet to have a convo with a single real world friend who thought it was less than great.

    Just a friendly reminder

It's pretty ballsy to tell Rian Johnson that you understand Star Wars better and love it more than he does. Are fanboys seriously brain dead enough think Kathleen Kennedy would hire someone who hates Star Wars? These are the same people who won't shut up about how smart and knowledgable are are.

Give me the strength to one day be as professional and level-headed as Rian Johnson. If I were him, I'd be giving dorks verbal wedgies as I drive off to my castle of money in my newly refurbished classic Camaro blasting 'Panama' by Van Halen.

I still think this is a great movie, but some of the choices made have been bothering me a bit more as I spend more time thinking about them. I think I need to see it a second time to really cement my judgment, because my initial reaction was overwhelmingly positive.

I think one of the core elements driving the more nuanced critiques of this movie (not the "SJWs/feminism/diversity ruined Star Wars!!1!" garbage) is that it feels like JJ set up some very specific themes/questions in TFA to be dealt with in the next movie, and Rian decided he was ultimately more interested in other aspects of the story, and took it in a rather different direction. So I can see the argument that it feels like there wasn't enough of a "unified vision", but honestly I think that can be a strength as well... because a lot of the best parts of this movie came from its risky moves. That's a really difficult balancing act for any studio and director to pull off for a franchise this big.

Point is that I do have some mixed feelings on it, because I admire the bold choices Rian made, but at the same time feel like when viewed as a series, TFA followed by TLJ may feel almost... disjointed somewhat.

There is no franchise in entertainment that I care enough about to get this upset over. They kill a minor character so you send hateful messages to the director. That would never be my reaction lol

Second round in an hour. I managed to make it fit with “work” in order to make it happen.

Right under $25 million for the second Friday. Half of TFA $50 million second Friday. Expecting around a 70% weekend drop which is pretty steep.

I think that would have happened no matter what the reception to the movie was. The hype for TFA was just massive

I’ve already seen this more in theaters than I did Rogue One.

For Rogue One, I only really wanted to see the third act again in theaters. With this, I want to see everything again on the big screen, even the Canto Brite stuff.

I'd be interested in seeing a state-by-state breakdown of the 2nd week repeat viewings. The theaters are still all sold out here in California.
