I had to look up who Gnash was. This tour is definitely going after people 15 years younger than me.

it's always funny when the old men on here get surprised and confused when the bands they like that appeal to teenagers tour with acts that are big in that scene

I literally said "oh no" when I saw all of the song titles are lower case and he spells you "u".

    I've heard this "i hate u, i love u" song before though.

EDIT: Eh, this isn't bad. I guess I was expecting something like Blackbear so I wasn't disappointed.

ATL touring with gnash is weird though. They're not similar at all lol

  8. I get the vibe that it’s some kind of one off radio show and they’re just the headliners.

I said this in the warped thread, but I've got it on good authority that the next Saves The Day record will be their last and 2018 will be their last year as a band, so expect some big tours from them

Guys, we all knew they were the pop punk band breaking up.

Saves The Day is my all-time favorite band so this is tough news.

However, given the fact that over the last four years we've really just gotten the odd festival and tour support slot, I'd be perfectly happy getting one final album and a farewell tour with a career-spanning setlist that does justice to their legacy and importance to the scene.

On All Time Low, I was never really able to get into gnash but it could be worse. Makes sense as they both fit in with the twenty one pilots/alternative teeny bopper crowd or however you want to describe it. I'd rather see gnash than the same old same old with them again. (Although I thought the support was decent on the last tour).

On Saves the Day, that is very sad (but not very surprising) news. It's always nice to see bands go out on their own terms though, so if it's really going to be a final record/final tour situation, I'm ok with it. (Side note: I'd really love to see Say Anything support the tour.) Also they will 100% be playing Riot Fest this year if true, with an aftershow.

Yeah, but even as far as the teen-hipster alt-pop goes, that's a weak lineup.

ATL are a legacy scene rock band and gnash is a one-hit wonder R&B pop artist.

Halsey, TØP, The 1975, Melanie Martinez, and Troye Sivan are at the top of that game and I don't see either bands on this bill doing better than they already are with that demographic.

But they both have enough of a following, but just different enough that they are going to be bringing in different segments of that crowd. If your argument is just that it's not a good line up, that's just your opinion so that's one thing, but it makes sense that they would tour together in an effort to basically consolidate their fan bases. All I'm saying is that the tour makes sense.

Also All Time Low basically owns me at this point so they can quite literally tour with whoever they want and I'll be there.

To me saves the Day is basically Chris. Unless you’re saying he’s gonna stop making music altogether this doesn’t bother me too much.

NJ has gotta do these tours so people will come to see them now. Prior to Polar Similar, they could barely fill up a 100 cap room.
