Gotta hand it to him... Even if nothing else, the fact that they released something that has gotten that much attention is more than I would have give them credit for lol

 

The best of TOYPAJ is easily better than the best of Cali but I'd rather listen to everything on Cali before I listen to First Date, Lonely Guy or Give Me One Good Reason. TOYPAJ is just harder of a front to back listen for me now which really is solely why it ranks under Cali for me

 

I don't think I've been able to listen to the singles on that record ever since it came out, to be honest. haha. Plus the joke songs and "Give Me One Good Reason" knock it way down for me. All of the rest of the songs are so good though. Plus, it's probably my favorite production on any blink record.

 

I need to make a condensed Cali Deluxe playlist. I’m going to start messing around with that later.

Dude Ranch - TOYPAJ is the golden era for me. So many memories, life changing events, and a lot of poop jokes for me at that time.

It’s not that I don’t like S/T....I just believe it stands alone in their legacy. Their previous releases and BCR were really important in the timeline leading up to that album.

What’s crazy is how it was such a mature jump for them that I couldn’t even imagine what the next release would’ve been if they stayed together and released another album 2-3 years later. I feel like they gave S/T everything they had. Maybe they would’ve released a heavier and faster version of AVA, which is what I was initially expecting AVA to sound like, but later felt disappointed by how boring a lot of it was. Still so frustrating till this day haha.

If Travis is recording with Tom I will post the video taken of me drunkenly singing Feeling This at a karaoke bar back in 2009

 

If he is we know it won't be a big time commitment. Travis could record any drums tom wants blindfolded on a toilet in 30 seconds.

 

Travis isn’t stupid. This is either A) him just having one of Toms guitars or B) Recording with Tom to keep him happy/away from blink.

 

I'd guess its tracking drums for that Strange Times "music album" to keep him happy as the dude above me said.

 

I'm just hoping for another one-off album between those two like BCR was. Just something to put out there with no expectations. I'd be so down for that.
