i think i am one of the few naive hopefuls that thinks Ronda will be entertaining and good for the division

the guy has literally done it all. he needs and deserves a long ass vacation and needs to come back with a unique perspective.

 

I'm looking forward to Rousey.

 

I've seen a lot of negativity towards Rousey but I'm interested too. I guess some people are mad she'll become a Brock style part timer celebrity that goes over at the expense of "real" wrestlers but I think it might be cool to see even if she sucks.

 

Totally opposite for me. I have no desire to see someone come in with ZERO experience in the business get pushed to the moon because of who she is. Especially when that person is one of the worst actors of all time.

When they fuck up the main event picture with someone like Brock, at least there is other stuff on the card to watch. Doing this will ruin the entire women's division of whatever show she goes to. They don't get more than one real storyline at a time.

 

I think the women's divisions are already pretty ruined. 2017 was garbage for both brands

 

No argument from me on that. I just don't see how Rousey does anything other than make it worse.

the worst part is this will be after at least a month of hype vignettes because low TV ratings has led to them advertising every debut/return

 

Kurt Angle came in with zero experience

 

Kurt Angle wasn't brought in as a big name celebrity to completely destroy the rest of the roster though (at least not how I remember it). He was brought in and naturally evolved his talents on the mic and in the ring (and at one of the quickest rates ever). Def seems like a completely different situation with Rousey.

 

the true deathblow will be if they Lesnar the belt onto Ronda and have her appear every 3 months... that barely works for the men with the largest talent pool ever AND a midcard belt to fall back on like they are right now. the women have no secondary prize and creative seems to have crumbs of originality left over for them... the only interesting facet to a woman's persona this year came in the form of James Ellsworth and that was Carmella's own idea.

 

Iconic Duo should be in it and be co winners

 

And then WWE will fuck it up by making them cash in their title opportunities on different brands.
