When I saw them live in London, people loved the Spin tracks. Could be just one of those things.

 

Yeah I think it's just a hometown factor of a lot of the people that maybe went to the show were old TJ fans and never checked out or liked the new stuff

Same thing happened to Captain We're Sinking, the crowd was crazy for all the Future Is Cancelled songs and completely dead for King Of No Man songs

 

Tbf that could be because The Future Is Cancelled is a much better album

 

Everyone loved the Spin stuff when I saw them in NY. Spin is just so so much better than Charmer (which I'm glad they play few songs from)

the best songs on spin are significantly better than the best on charmer but charmer's diversity makes it a better album

 

There's maybe two songs on Spin that get anywhere near as good as any song on charmer, imo. June is definitely one of them. I keep coming back to this every so often hoping I like it more than just okay

 

june and guardian are their best two songs pretty easily imo

 

Escape plan is up there too

 

Spin is definitely their best and most mature songwriting but I still can't help but come back to the self titled all the time

I think Charmer or Hum is probably one of their best songs, but there are other contenders too

Really feel like their songwriting was always pretty solid, they've never been slouches.

 

this was my co aoty with oso until charlis new tape came out and now i can't decide.

 

I always thought June and Guardian were the worst songs on Spin... All of Bens hidden gems are on that album.. Follows, Bullet, Window, (Brass Ring is Briannas best song ever.) Etc.. I felt like it was the album where Ben finally got to shine again. Charmer was fucking phenomenal don't get me wrong, but I feel like it was a tough album for the band and the tracklist feels... forced? not sure what the feeling is really.

window is the best song on the album. charmer is better for me but i think this is a great pop rock album

 

Window is alongside I Saw Water and Hum as their best song imo. Follows, Favourite, June, Escape Plan, Guardian and Brass Ring are all great too.

Charmer is my favourite of theirs but this is close behind.

 

i dont think i can pick a favorite but i have definitely listened to spin more than any other tj album by a fair margin.

 

charmer and spin are about equal for me as far as plays go. Charmer has this cool creative tension about it that I really dig. Spin just sounds great, its something I can put on thats catchy and easy to listen to.

 

spin definitely has the superior individual songs.

Spin is like a perfect reset album for the major label debut. It’s not particularly deep for old fans who know and love s/t or Charmer, but it’s way more accessible for people who aren’t already deeply invested in the Tigers Jaw canon.

 

Bullet might be my least favorite TJ song. Just repetitive boring and straight up filler

 

I hate that they repeat the same line so many times in that song lol

 

omg the flat delivery of happiest when your low like 200 times is my least fav part of the album.
