There's a lovely bit of irony in a couple minute 6-women tag match being the setup too.

 

a crappy 6-women tag, that gets ended in a nonsense schmoz. And totally agree how there was no reason, in kayfabe, to do this. Why because Absolution was attacking people?

I said it once ill say it again 2017 was the shits for the womens division. Lets hope 2018 improves

30 seems borderline impossible unless you just unload the entire NxT division/Mae Young classic people. But then half the rumble will be unknowns/new people.

 

Not expecting the womens rumble to be nearly as long as the mens

30 entrants is hard.

20 entrants leaves just enough room to do a champ vs champ match and the other 19 women on the main roster enter + Nikki or Ronda.

Also calling this spot ahead of time: Bayley and Finn (or maybe another MMC pair, but Bay-lor makes the most sense) geek out together when they realize they both drew the same number.

 

god please no. That'd be as bad as a 40-man Rumble.

20 women, 60s between entrants. Like 30-35mins for the match seems about right. Otherwise you are gonna make people like Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan carry significant roles.

Should I buy it? Or actually better stated, should I not buy it? I know it got a lot of buzz when it came out, but curious if people have kept going back to it.

 

ronda winning would be stupid. so I'm convinced that is what's happening. charlotte winning would be the 2nd worst outcome, so that's always a possibility too

 

i actually think Rousey winning makes sense. Since the WWE did the worst possible job with the womens division in 2017, i think they've left themselves with only 1 possibly marquee match at mania and thats Rousey vs Charlotte. I think it'll give the women of the WWE a lot of mainstream attention (something the men have gotten for decades at mania but not so uch the women) and it's actually a match that would have some heat.

If Charlotte were a heel, I'd be into Asuka winning and challenging Charlotte...but other than that, I cant think of a winner that really interests me (Becky cause im a fan of hers maybe?)

 

the problem is 1) the best booked woman on the entire roster is alexa (yes, more than asuka) and 2) rousey isnt gonna be on smackdown and 3) alexa is only 5'1"

asuka winning is actually a good outcome, not sure why you think she has to face charlotte. also shes on raw and jumping to SD would be pretty bad for her I think

 

i dont think its a given that Rousey wouldn't be on smackdown. Im sure they think her appearances could help boost SD's ratings and im sure she isn't going to politck or care to politich herself so she's on raw.

 

Asuka wins the Rumble. Paige wins the Chamber for the title. That’s the Raw match. Ronda will be on Smackdown. The biggest women’s match they could do is Charlotte/Ronda. Can’t pass that up

 

I’ve put soooo much time into it, dude. Granted that’s tapered off since 2k18 but with all the patches I’ve missed im sure I’d get hooked if I put it back on. You’re scarcely going to get a better game for the price and the dev support has been incredible (near weekly patches, all of which came with new content)

 

Highlights of Raw were Itami and the implication that Rhyno/Slater are actually going to get an angle again. Itami’s debut was the best they’ve handled one in a long time imo

 

ambrose apparently has a legitimate injury which is the reason for the write off. no time frame given for how long he'll be out

 

It was wrestling 101. Straight forward and really well done.

 

Elimination Chamber being a Raw show has me more confident than normal that a Smackdown guy wins the Rumble. hopefully they realize EC is much more beneficial as a multibrand show like they reportedly did for MITB after this year. i miss the old format of the brand that won the Rumble having a championship chamber match and the brand that didn't win the Rumble having one for the #1 contender.

 

It's weird that they set things up in a way that makes it a little too predictable. Hopefully there is a nice swerve. Curious to see where Cena plays in to everything.

 

Oh man I forgot about Elimination Chamber, the worst of the forced-gimmick PPVs

I guess it's just the calendar placement that makes it bad, the outcome is always so predictable because we know what the Mania matchups are going to be.

 

Aside from MITB, Chamber being right before Mania might actually be the best use of a gimmick ppv. Hell in a Cell is definitely the worst
