2017 was a weird year for music.

I saw the most shows I've ever seen in a given year (34) and listened to almost 70,000 minutes of music - that's a lot.

After weeks playing around with this, I've settled on my "Best Albums of 2017 List". It's much tamer than in years past and I highly recommend everything on here. Feel free to share yours, I'm curious what everyone's #1 was this year.

doing albums is tougher for me because this year has been such a clusterfuck politically that giving albums enough time or even listening to any has been tough sometimes, so there's some stuff I haven't checked out yet either based on your recs (Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers, Charly Bliss etc) or based on what I like (U2, Liam and Noel Gallagher, Bjork) that I haven't listened to yet and that's making me anxious and overwhelmed and it shouldn't this should be fun so fuck it
