Yup, I feel the same (and also am extremely amateur) and my ex lives on her own so when she cooks I just go over and eat hahaha

 

I always waste at least the first thirty minutes of my lunch break catching up on chorus. Especially if we're talking about food

 

Yeah it's hard buying fresh food for one person and eating it all before it goes bad. Doesn't help having a kid who's a picky eater

 

I will say that I can name very few Tex Mex restaurants I would actually recommend, BUT I have had better homemade Tex Mex than any homemade California Mexican or any other variety ever. It's why I never go to restaurants for Mexican food haha.

 

Half of my day is deciding what to eat.

 

God my oldest child is so picky it's unreal

I just moved back near my parents so that helps...I just glob onto their food plans and eat with them or have them buy me dinner out if they go out. Wuahaha.

 

I wouldn't want to eat Whataburger every day either tbh.

 

OKAY well, if you ever get the chance to have some hole in the wall AZ Mexican food...do it.

 

I babysat a kid who only ate Vienna sausages. It was vile. That stuff makes my skin crawl.

 

I'm only 30-40 minutes away from mine so I drop in for food all the time.

 

I struggle getting Aeryn to eat vegetables. Really she doesn't seem to love anything but chicken tenders

 

Haahhaha. Oh my god, don't get me started on canned meat. My brother and I have dubbed my mom The Canned Meat Queen. We didn't even realize how abnormal it was to grow up poor eating a variety of SPAM, Deviled Ham, Vienna Sausages, tuna sandwiches, and even hot dog sandwiches (sliced down the center so they have a flat side and put on normal bread).

 

This reminds me of the scene in Big Daddy where that huge Italian dude is eating a sausage on one end and his date on their other and its the sounds of them basically choking as they suck it down to meet in the middle.

This is the reason I am vegetarian.

 

Gavin hates every bit of food ever. Won't eat homecooked, fast food, restaurant, anything whatsoever. It is so difficult getting him to eat anything no matter how good it is.

He's 3 at the moment, and it feels weird because it's not like he dislikes anything. He just "doesn't want" it. In the end it's okay because his mom and I make sure he gets the nutrients he needs to be healthy and everything like that, but still.

 

The "are hot dogs a sandwich" thread did this for me.

 

Lol as long as no one brings up fucking milk I think we'll be alright.
