I'm still scratching my head at the complaints that "they ruined Luke." People are so desperate to hold onto expectations of what they wanted the character/story to be that they're unwilling to accept a change in a different direction.

 

I think the second Matrix I watched as a cam the first time I saw it. I forgot all about cam rips. High school was all about cam rips that were like 600mb.

 

I think people woulda been pissed at what the EU had done with characters as well. Such is fandom.

 

The novelization comes out in March I think, I wonder what other details are there.

After second viewing, I didn’t like the Finn/Rose interaction near the end. Her “don’t kill what you hate, save what you love” line just didn’t work for me. Finn was attempting to destroy the big gun to save his friends. I get the sentiment, but that line would be more powerful in a different situation. It wasn’t an act of revenge.

 

I love the desperation in Kylo's voice in the throne room as he asks Rey to join him. He actually says the word "please" and makes you realize he needs her more than she needs him. That whole sequence gives you an idea of what it would be like if they teamed up for good.

As well as the kiss after. Yeesh felt so forced.

 

low-key upset that they finally brought back A-Wings but there was only one and it was destroyed in the first 15 minutes

 

I dunno, I think Finn killing himself for a relatively small gain was the wrong move. And it’s nice to have a character realize that. She lost her sister earlier in that way, so it makes sense to me why she’d feel that way.

 

The “but not to me” line killed me. Throne scene till I die.
