Solid! I honestly, and after this thread happened tried again and listened to Neighborhoods twice front to back, I just don't like it at all. I love blink but that record just isn't for me.

 

I like it quite a bit (mostly in the fall) but Kaleidoscope and Heart's All Gone were the only songs I considered and just eh, still like 20 other songs I'd realistically want to see before those haha.

I love this thread! I listened to Flyswatter today and I still think it has really cool tracks.

 

I think you just nailed it. I don't love Buddha or Cheshire Cat but even those albums on the songs I don't like you can feel the energy and a band really working to do something special. On Neighborhoods I feel like it sounds exactly like what it was, a band on different pages with someone that didn't really want to be there, and it just killed it for me.

Haha same. Except my date had machine gun Kelly during dammit. And I forget which songs they played at the end. I think they only played 22 total for mine

 

Why can't "Apple Shampoo" just be on every setlist? It makes me wish it had been a single so they'd feel obligated to play it.

 

I can never pin down songs for these lists. They change so much in my head

 

LOL I had a dream last night that a year from now Tom woke up one day, his sanity returned and he was like "FUCK what the hell was I doing and thinking?!" Made a public apology, and blink became a four peice with Mark, Travis, tom, and Skiba featuring trio vocals and stuff. And because his sanity was back toms song writing and singing was back to normal lol

Finally listening to the latest Mark podcast.

This would be so much better if it was just Mark and John. Literally everyone else that talks needs to shut up and realize why people are listening.

 

I really enjoyed that podcast. Feldmann sounds stoked, funny and seems like a very cool guy.

 

Who was it, James? Get that guy out of there.

 

No idea. Turned it off and I'll listen later. Sounded like a bad radio show.

 

Haha the beginning was terrible. The joke Mark song, the random Dead song snippet, and the Goldfinger song. The unnecessary doughnut talk. Those things are all great, but I just want actual recording and album content.

That's part of what I was getting at with my comment earlier about the podcast. I said I wanted more. By the time they get through all of the fluff and talk about the things we already know about the album and recording process, the 40 minutes is almost up. The only real takeaway from a Blink perspective is towards the end when Feldmann talks Rabit Hole and Cyncial. John's talk about approaches to recording different bands is great, but it would have been better served in a separate discussion.

 

I listened to the entire thing… TBF James always chimes in during the podcast, but not frequently. 98% of this podcast episode is John and Mark.

 

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but on Spotify's homepage today they have a playlist called "This is: blink 182". "Bored to Death" is the first track.

Edit: Tons of these songs are edited, including "Shut Up". Why even put that on there?
