Ghost would've been a great closer.....always thought it was an odd choice for opener.

I’ve always liked it as an opener. The way the drums start off remind me of how I’m Lost Without You ends

  3. It's a great opener!

It’s hard for me to hear Ghost at all. Tom’s vocals are atrociously bad.

Remember when Tom said it was literal days til footage or something was released

I think that was like 2 weeks ago

Not even hating, I would legitimately love to see something, anything that would convince me that he WASN'T the biggest bullshitter in history lol

Also means it's 12(!) years since No It Isn't came out. Mark's best ever song? My research suggests: maybe.

It's not weird for me to think about that song/album being that old or how Untitled came out so long ago since that's the music I was growing up listening to...but it trips me out even more to think that Neighborhoods came out SIX years ago already. It still seems like that is the new blink because I was already an adult when it came out.

So is there anything to all of this "Tom is back" - or just more Tom being Tom? Just thought it was weird a lot of the music news sites ran with it.

This one from an Australian site had me laughing:

"2015 saw founding guitarist Tom DeLonge announce his departure from the band. Fans have been devastated ever since, but a recent comment from DeLonge seems to indicate there could be a resolution in the works."

I saw there was a lot of Neighborhoods and California discussion in the recent posts, so I'll just jump on the train.

I actually like California a lot. I'm impressed how they were able to sound more like blink-182 on that record than Neighborhoods and Dogs Eating Dogs (which both, at least the Tom songs, sound too much like AvA). I get that many fans think there is no blink-182 without Tom, but California is the perfect proof that they can move on without Tom holding them back. I rank California over Neighborhoods, Cheshire Cat, Dude Ranch and even songs from Enema of the State.

    Neighborhoods (includes Deluxe tracks)
Favorite songs: Natives, Even If She Falls, Up All Night, Heart's All Gone
Least favorite songs: Snake Charmer, Fighting the Gravity, This Is Home, Heart's All Gone Interlude

    California
Favorite songs: Left Alone, Rabbit Hole, Cynical, The Only Thing That Matters, San Diego
Least favorite songs: Brohemian Rhapsody, Kings of the Weekend, No Future, Sober

Favorite Deluxe tracks: Long Lost Feeling, 6/8, Misery
Least favorite Deluxe tracks: Don't Mean Anything, Can't Get You More Pregnant, Good Old Days

I was just listening to that and came here to post about it. haha.

"Oh yeah. He's out of his fuckin' mind"
"If you get enough rubes to keep donating money... He keeps saying 'Stay Tuned'..."

It's hilarious listening to a person talk about Tom who is not a blink fan and has no bias. Although it was scary how he said he had numerous Twitter followers saying that Tom absolutely blew their minds....

And The stupid people saying Joe was two faced. No, as he said he was being a respectful host giving the person in front of him the time of day to explain his wacko ideas

Although I think just whisper, “this guy is nuts” or full of shit I think I remember during the original pod, and Joe has had some far out dudes on that show like Graham Hancock

Haha yeah, I don't know why anyone would think Joe is under any obligation to believe anything Tom said. Joe gave him every chance in the world to prove he had one shred of credibility, but all he would say was, "I can't talk about that, you don't know what I know."

Also, unless I'm misunderstanding something...did Tom actually have anything to do with that clip of the "UFO" getting released or did that just come out on its own? Because I've seen it all over the web/my Facebook feed and not one article mentions TTS...

No I think he was just mentioning what those types of UFOs were called and Joes producer dragged up a YouTube vid
