This is how I saw it, but not in 3D, and it was glorious.

I will say, saw this in IMAX 3D since it was the only option for me and I thought it worked well. No complaints. You just have to wear those glasses, which will then leave a indentation into your forehead like it did to me ha :)

I'm just generally against 3D, I actually really hate it.

  5. This is a really good point. I think this movie will sit better with fans with time as well.

The movie is out, people should know better. And it means the discussions are more readable. Woke up thinking about the movie and have even more thoughts to put together.

One thing I haven't seen mentioned is the score. The Binary Suns theme at the end with Luke staring out over the horizon just before he passes on was beautiful. Full circle for the farm boy. And there were snippets of the Battle of Endor theme in the sequence with the Falcon on Crait. Very cool.

  13. How did Benicio know the plan with the escape transports? Did anyone ever tell Finn that plan while he was around?

am i crazy or are there two "bigger" stars that the boy at the end was seeing in the sky. was wondering if it was supposed to be those two suns

  15. I think Rey and Kylo were communicating together and using their powers combined to trick Snoke and make the saber move

I can’t wait to watch this movie again. Can’t stop thinking about how weird it was.

Way weirder than I expected it to be.

Also the intitial cut was 3 hours and rian said he had to cut some of his favorite scenes. Will be dissapointed if it was more of Luke training Rey or anything on Ach-To. That stuff is the best. If its more Finn and Rose, then probably a good move even if it wouldve made that arc a smidge better. Any more and it wouldve be even more of a detriment to the pace/true focus of the film

It was when they were talking to Poe through the comm when Benecio was triying to get in that door.

there was a moment where I thought that Luke had actually died on the island years ago and had just become one with the force so much that he was basically a force ghost or whatever during the battle on Crate. I really thought that would have been a cool revelation and would have fit into the philosophy of the force being stronger than the ideas of the jedi and the sith

It was mentioned once before but it's important to note that Rey took the Jedi texts before she left the island. That might be a factor in the next film, especially if there's a time gap between this and IX, which I feel like there kinda has to be.

Definitely get what youre saying, and agree with the force being stronger than the religions but I like how it played out. all the force ghosts weve seen are distinguishably have a glow and transparency that can be seen and i think wouldve made a plothole. Plus then we dont see Luke die. And we dont see Luke just be a total badass that shows how powerful he is
