But, here's initial thoughts. SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS blacked out, be warned. DO NOT HOVER OVER POST TO AVOID SPOILERS. Anyway looking forward to round 2. :)

Loved it. Not as much as The Force Awakens, but I think on a second or third viewing I'll appreciate it more.[\spoiler]

The Rey, Luke and Kylo arc was great, and a great addition to the way the force is used.[\spoiler]

The whole casino sequence felt unnecessary, and the whole CGI chase with those gigantic animals felt very prequel-ey.[\spoiler]

LOVED seeing force ghost Yoda, and the young Leia throwback by R2.[\spoiler]

 

Gotta stay outta here until page 141 lol i dont trust not accidentally hovering over that whole post haha

 

I don’t trust myself to not purposefully hover over it! I just about did it! I’m outta here till tomorrow night! Only 23 hours and 57 minutes!

watching TFA right now, and its just about over....and i picked up something i maybe never thought about before.

gonna spoil tag just because its a theory and who knows if it holds any water

do we think there is any chance that rey is leia's daughter but maybe not han's? we don't know what the age difference is between her and kylo, but after leia and han split, could leia have had another child? or maybe she is hans daughter and they split before he knew? the scene where rey steps off the falcon and her and leia embrace as if it wasn't the complete first time they've ever met just seems like maybe, leia knows who she is, and because they're a super force-y family, maybe rey senses it too.

maybe im just hopped up on pizza and excitement for tomorrow but, i figured i'd spew my thoughts out here.

How early is everyone getting to the theater? I’m deciding between 3 and 4 hours.

(Have I mentioned how much I hate when there aren’t assigned seats lately?.)

 

Few people on my Facebook have just seen it and said they think there's a lot of great stuff but also a few things they really didn't like. I can't wait for tomorrow.

 

Only 15 minutes early due to assigned seating!

 

2 mind blowing things for me:

1 - waiting in line for a movie for hours, which I could and would never do.
2 - assigned seating being a regular part of people’s cinema lives. :(

 

Remember that one time people were trying to argue with me and you about assigned seats like assigned seats was somehow a bad thing?

 

oooooh, tomorrow!!! i have tickets for a 9:15pm showing. i gotta resist the urge to snack out at the theater; one, i don't have the money for that overpriced stuff and two, i don't wanna drink my soda too fast and have to hold in pee for 2 hours

I don't think I've been more interested to hear people's thoughts on a film than this one.

I'm making a day of it. Bringing my Mouse Guard RPG book, my DS Lite with Dragon Quest IX, my cards for my Warhammer Shadespire decks to study for the tournament on Saturday, my iPod, and other boring necessities like food and a camping chair. One non-assigned seating show at 7pm and one assigned seating show 3 hours after that. I'm seeing the 2nd showing with my wife and some other people. Gonna have to go into that 2nd showing straight-faced and tight-lipped.

 

I’m seeing it tomorrow night due to work the previous days making me not able to go before. I really can’t wait!

The best way to put it is there are a lot of positives, but some glaring negatives.

 

This movie will be divisive. I think casual fans might hate it. I loved it personally, loved how different it was - glad I went in only seeing the trailer, so many surprises.

 

I loved it. Definitely going to need to see it again as there was a lot to take in.

 

This is gonna be a tough work day to get though. Here we go.

 

I’m honestly loving all these posts saying how there are tough to swallow parts. Loved TFA and Rogue One, but both were(though the whole main cast dying in RO isn’t safe) pretty safe.

 

Agreed. It seems like Disney let Rian Johnson make some some pretty risky moves, when they certainly didn't have to do so. That excites me more than anything else.
