real talk: there already is a Die Hard 6 being made and it is a prequel, which is the absolute worst thing you could do with the series. The whole appeal of John McClane in the original Die Hard is that he's an everyman caught in a really shitty situation. Sure, he's a cop, but he is by no means a trained badass. Giving him a backstory tarnishes that.

 

Hopefully the acquisition is blocked. The Time Warner and ATT deal is getting blocked so far. Hopefully it stays that way.
