Speaking of mislabeled System of a Down songs...I remember there being an acoustic cover of Dammit by "System of a Down", just like the Link song haha

 

And Barbie Girl by MXPX.

"Story of a Girl" by Nine Days was the ultimate mislabeled non-Blink song on those p2p file sharers.

I loved it back in the day and had no idea who it was.

 

god fucking damn, that feldmann podcast is great. he sounds wired and I love it.

 

Listening to it now. He does sound like he drinks a lot of coffee.

 

I feel like I used to see My Own Worst Enemy by Lit mislabeled as a Blink song. Blink even made some joke about it at one of their shows back in the day I think

 

They were also in the video for Lit's followup single, "Zip-Lock" – and there's a Blink poster on the wall in the early shots.

 

Reel Big Fish covered "My Own Worst Enemy" at one of their shows this year and after they finished they said "That was our hit song from the 90s! Just kidding, we all know that was blink-182's!"

 

I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure that would have been Me First and the Gimme Gimmes. The song title was accurate (and, sarcastic spoiler alert) it's a cover.

 

Oh yes! I liked all the singles from that album. I never checked out their comeback album from a few years back, was it any good?

 

I only heard a couple songs, but they were alright. Felt a lot like a band trying to recapture that old magic, but not necessarily in a bad way.

 

If I'm ever feeling the need for a good cry I'll put on the Not Now video.

Nothing really new in here, just confirms there are strings and clean guitars on Home is Such a Lonely Place. Compared its inclusion on the record to that of I Miss You, but also said it's unlike anything they've done before.

 

it was actually better than expected, nothing groundbreaking but if you dig Lit, you'd dig the album

best song, thought it coulda been a hit honestly

Man Overboard is easily 50/50 if not more Mark. He sings the verses, the main 'so sorry, it's over' in the chorus and the entire outro.

 

Falling For You by Student Rick was the most mislabeled song on any file sharing software in the early 2000's without a shadow of a doubt

Mark mentions an EP coming out in the future during minute 19 of the podcast with Feldman. This is a good thing.

 

Hahahahah yyyeah I remember this! And I was actually tried to tell my friend that it's NOT SoaD covering this song.
