2017 Rumble had 8 matches with 3 on the pre-show. Id bet the Smackdown Womens title doesnt get defended (since they are doing that at Clash of Champions). RAW probably has to just because of the gap in time. But to get 20 women in the Rumble, they cant defend both womens titles.

US title, IC title, and Universal get defended...oddly, Im not sure what I see AJ doing. And I think the RAW tag titles might not get defended, since all 4 guys can be useful in the Rumble.

 

Miz and Alexa would be gold too

 

I sincerely hope this leads to a mix tag belt. Been clamoring for that ever since the brand split.

 

I'd honestly prefer a trios title.

 

they've got a good ratio of 2men:1women as well on the roster...make it a mixed trios title and its a winning combo

LU's most successful story arc, maybe ever, got over 3 low card people by making them an unlikely trio

I actually agree with this take. The apocalypse is nigh.

 

The problem is that they have too much main event level talent that they don't want to book in ways that undermine them.

You have to make Braun look strong
You have to make Brock look strong
You have to make Roman look strong
You have to make ...

With that mentality, nothing every looks very decisive. They take these guys and book them in circles. Having another title could make The Shield top guys who can main event PPV's. It'd give The New Day, Sanity, Miztourage, Finn + Club, etc stuff to do while allowing standard tag teams a chance to make that belt important. Roman wouldn't need the IC title and could free it up for up and coming singles guys. There are so many damn ways to go with a trios title. The misuse of these belts is already atrocious, but it could really work to their favor.

love the idea of a mixed tag challenge, wish it was a bigger thing than little weekly 20 minute episodes on facebook but it's still a very cool thing. mixed tag or trios belt would be amazing, i would really like to see the women and men interact more outside of the occasional feuding-over-a-woman storyline.

It's really amazing given how much air time WWE has per week, they really can't seem to book/build more than like 2 storylines at the same time per show. Two title pictures will get a decent build while the others just get 13 rematches until the PPV match. If you don't have a title then you don't really have a story. Idk, I could be wrong but that's really how it feels to me.
