jackbox is basically a bunch of fun party games we can all play together over the internet. we interact with the game via our cell phones, tablets, computers, etc.

so one game is called fibbage and it's kind of like trivia. we all get to submit our own answer option for each trivia question that we want to try and get everyone else to guess and we also want to try and guess the actual correct answer.

another is trivia murder party where we're all answering questions to try and move forward to get out of a murderer's house alive. if you get the question right you get to move on, if you get the question wrong you have to compete in small games with the others who also got it wrong and the losers die and come back as ghosts that can still play and get points and answer questions. you can only get out alive and win if you don't die. the ghosts can "snatch" other people's bodies that haven't die at the end of the game that is a lightning round of trivia questions and come back to win.

another is quiplash where the game gives a prompt and two random people get to submit an answer for the funniest/most clever answer that they can think of and then everyone else in the room votes on it.

drawful makes us draw things and submit them for everyone to guess. it kind of combines fibbage in that we all get to submit what we want people to guess it is and also guess what it actually is.

basically I "host" the game on my PS4 and then stream it to twitch or youtube. everyone tunes into the stream and then uses their cellphone to play based on what they see on the stream. the only problem playing it over the internet is there's about a 12 second delay but that usually doesn't affect the time you get to submit things or anything unless your internet buffers or lags you out.

i'm tempted to buy them on xbox for this reason - Mixer(Microsoft's streaming service) has a fraction of the lag that Twitch has

why? it's always worked flawlessly for me and it is ad-free

Mixer's good, it's way better than Twitch for Jackbox because the delay gets sort of annoying for a few of the games. Is Hitbox still a thing? Used to use that a lot for it too.

edit: oh I guess Hitbox is now Smashcast

yeah i mean i've played it with others over the internet before and there wasn't any problem with it. it all went fine.

also i see that JB4 came out and these sound amazing so i'll probably buy it tonight too for when we get this going. Bracketeering sounds perfect for all of us hahah:
