the alex g album is an easy top 3 album of the year but it's okay you have to have a certain IQ to get alex g

 

Look, he put on an absolutely awful show. Conversely, FJM put on amazing show and even managed to change my opinions on songs I wasn’t too hot on, like Total Entertainment Forever.

 

Alex G would probably be good on record but goddamn that performance I saw with @Bloodsucker II was so bad. It was extremely aimless and felt like they were just randomly noodling

That FJM set pitchfork recorded earlier this year is nuts. His voice is getting better somehow.

I like the Alex G album enough but have never cared to look up stuff on live on youtube

 

i've seen him do bad performances because he rarely gives a shit but the performance i saw of him earlier this year was a top 10 performance of the year, and the performance he did at bowery is amazing

I'll have to watch this when I get home. Pitchfork nails all of these,

 

it's funny, because i think he totally kills it on most of the set but there's like a ten minute break at the third song or so where they broke a string and they just fuck around not giving a shit for 10 minutes so it kind of shows the best of both worlds haha. the second song they play is so amazing though

 

I feel like “GOAT” gets tossed around a little too freely sometimes

i'm so happy you saw him live because i truly think he's one of the best live performers on the planet

him and sufjan make up my like, 5 favorite sets i've ever seen haha

 

I'm excited for whiskey after work. It's been a couple of days.

 

Sufjan is just something else. Seeing him silence an entire festival at the first Eaux Claires was insane. And then I literally TURNED AROUND and saw The National close the night out. Wild.

 

first time i saw sufjan it was the carrie and lowell tour, that was ridiculous
second time i saw him was the festival set last year. now THAT was ridiculous
