even just using press conferences is genius, especially given the stark lack of Network-exclusive stuff. throw an hour press conference on a Wednesday for a PPV and put it on the Network, i'd watch it. they used to do them all the time but took them seriously/as a media event (big error because no one fucking cares about a real press conference for a fake sport)

 

They're too busy counting their Network money to care about unimportant things like content

 

Yep. It works for UFC/Boxing all the time...every press conference has a scuffle and it always draws attention.

The contract signing format definitely needs a shakeup

 

The ironic thing is that those Boxing/UFC pressers take a page out of pro wrestling's book and will ham it up for the press conference. Sure sometimes the heat is real but alot of the time they want to sell a fight so they will make up some beef, shake it up at the presser. There's usually a babyface and heel in those deals too!
