Yeah I agree completely. He got way too into effects, delays and long intros and it hurt his work.

He prefers you call them "soundscapes". Think of a landscape, but using sounds.

I agree, I always thought blink nailed the track listings on all of their albums except Neighborhoods. It feels like they put all of the songs they recorded on a play list and hit the random button. I don't like Ghost as an opener for whatever reason but don't know what I'm put first. Maybe if Natives had a better opening before the recycled M+M's type riff. I would probably close with This Is Home in that scenario because it bookends Natives lyrics of "never going home" with This Is Home's lyrics with the last line being "This Is Home" which would have been powerful as it was their reunion album. Of course it would be better if This Is Home was a better song so yeah.

Yeah definitely sounds nicer so he's got a great point.

Yeah, I mean, you can't really tell him not to change his interests because if he's not inspired then he's just not inspired. I think it just also comes across in his live performances too. He was always sloppy but lately it was like he actually forgot how to play. haha.

I get all of that and agree with it but to me his change from punk Tom to Bono Tom just seemed I don't know kind of forced and out of nowhere, kind of like that Goth kid in high school that randomly came to back from vacation with a new hair cut and Abercrombie and Fitch clothes. Part of his charm, and Mark's too, was that they were "one of us" who happened to hit it big but still aren't great as artists so him playing sloppy was fine. It was funny to me when he or Mark would mess up in the middle of a song and own up to it and make fun of themselves about it.

Heart's All Gone Interlude/Heart's All Gone would have been a dope way to open the album

Hmm I like this. Think I'm finally gonna rearrange and drop shit and make my own tracklist.

Yeah same here. I really don't like any of the Mark only songs on Neighborhoods. It seemed like all of his songs were lacking something which makes sense since Mark admitted he had a hard time writing songs during that period.

I hate Hearts All Gone. It sounds like something one of my high school bands would have written. Same thing with MH42001.

Still like Neighborhoods, though. Combine the 6 best songs with the Dogs Eating Dogs EP, and take out that Yelawolf verse, and you have yourself a fantastic record.

HAG is one of Like, 6 songs I actually sill return to from Neighborhoods often.

    So shush!

Hearts All Gone sounds like Dammit-era Bllink

  19. HAG rules. One of Travis' best Blink songs.

Travis really goes nuts with the drums on HAG and I love it. You can tell Tom had very minimal participation in that song.

Yup it doesn't even sound like he tracked it either. None of the Mark only songs sound like any type of guitar riff Tom would have come up with, same with Kaleidoscope too.

Love Hearts. Kaleidoscope is easily my favorite on that album

Kaleidoscope has the worst intro in blink history. It's so uninspired and boring. I actually really like the rest of the song. The lead parts in the second and third verses and the Tom parts are really good. One of those songs that would have benefited from a producer telling them to do something better!

Haha sold. This is probably almost exactly what I would've done when I got to it. Ghost would be a good closer
