Good for him! Hope he feels healthy. I do like the odd beer but I can see in his lifestyle it could be tempting to drink more than a few times a week

I actually bought his book on Friday and hav been patiently awaiting its arrival in the mail

For a second I thought they were gonna play Rabbit Hole until I noticed there were only 2 min left. I need to hear Cynical and Rabbit Hole now

Can someone make a cheat sheet of the Feldman Podcast for those of us who are unable to listen? :(

Can't wait for Rabbit Hole. That one seems to be the one that keeps coming up out of the entire batch.

Also, didn't they drop another song title that isn't on the record? I can't remember what it was called, but I remember Mark specifically saying "Oh yeah, that one's going to be on the EP.... or...."

    Some highlights...

-Feldmann said he dreamed about a year and a half ago that Travis called him up to work on the blink record (with Tom)
-Rabbit Hole is his favorite track on the record. He said it may not be the best song on the record, but it sounds the most like blink, in his opinion.
-They talked about how there was only one track that they salvaged from the original batch of 30 the guys wrote before Feldmann got involved....which they plan on using for an EP (or something. He wasn't sure).
-Feldmann would make Mark write a chorus in about 15 minutes while he went on a coffee break.
-He said they would ask "What are we going to work on tomorrow?" and he would say "No, we are going to write a new song from scratch" even if it was 3 PM.
-He likes to "outlast" the guys in the studio by staying as late as possible, but said Travis beat him every single time. Said Travis had no problem being there until 3 AM every night.
-Hardly ANY mention of Matt Skiba for some reason.

A bunch more little tidbits like that, but nothing major aside from Mark being pretty confident in an EP after the album.

What if this whole Matt Skiba thing doesn't work out? Just basing it off interviews and such but it still doesn't feel like he's integrated fully with the band in some weird way. Idk.

In the long run, maybe it works out and maybe it doesn't. I think things seem more than fine right now, I don't really think it's our place to judge how he is integrating with Travis and Mark based on a few interviews or anything

The song was called (or at least nicknamed) "Sorry". Gonna guess that was the track that we saw Skiba doing vocals for "What's the point in saying sorry now". So looks like it didn't make the album.

Kind of a late pass on this one, but I think my overall top 5 would be:

    Feeling This
    Obvious
    Stockholm Syndrome
    After Midnight
    Online Songs

Idk, it's really hard. They don't have a lot of songs I absolutely love - Feeling This was the only "obvious" choice for me - but most of their songs are very solid and all at a similar level really, IMO.

I've gotten the vibe that he loved working with the guys but ultimately feels like he's just there to help out, in a sense. I think he's just respectful and doesn't want to try to outshine Mark and Travis in THEIR band, you know? Same reason he hasn't done many interviews/no interviews on his own.

Either way, I would say not to speculate. You know how rumors get blown up in the blink community. haha.

Whether they continue with Matt or not, how much anybody has heard from him doesn't mean a thing. Obviously Mark and Travis will do almost all the talking and Skiba is probably fine with that. I see nothing to indicate that they aren't all having the best time they've had since the TOYPAJ days. They seem super happy to kind of be channeling older blink, and surprisingly I am too. Untitled is my favorite blink record but it feels great to see them actually enjoying themselves.

Damn if we judged travis in the past the same way we judge Matt's place in the band based of the interviews, Travis would have been gone years ago

speaking of mislabeled songs from the late 90s/early 2000s...anyone remember that track "seasons in the sun" that was always labeled as blink 182 except, it wasn't. What was that song.

Has anyone seen this? I was just browsing blink's discography wiki page and under music videos, BTD is listed and directed by Dexter Holland from the offspring...(?)

Joseph Kahn's notes on the Always video: (btw, this is the same guy who directed all of Taylor Swift's super successful videos recently. The guy is great)

"I'll explain this in a nutshell so at least the record is now out there if I prematurely die in a Prius accident. Painting is a two dimensional art with the illusion of three. Film is the perception of three dimensions with the fourth dimension of time. Dimensions ultimately limit the nature of what you can do. As you hop into higher dimensions, you have more mathematical options to explore. Here I created a simultaneous timeline where three things seem to happen at the same moment. One happens during the day, another afternoon, another at night. But then I swap out the time frames and guys without editing, so the time frames jump around in each box. We are actually jumping out of four dimensions and exploring impossible paradoxes in an extra dimension. I call it five dimensional editing. Of course there is no way in hell you ever write that down in a music video treatment to a label. I pitched it as “a girl cheating on three guys at the same time.”

This was shot in Australia shortly after Torque and Toxic. I went through tons of girls and finally discovered Sophie Monk down there. Convinced her to move to America. I blocked and designed the video the morning of the shoot in a couple hours."
