This is just a typical AMC. The second showing I'm going to later that night has reserved seating.

 

I promise no spoilers.
It was good, not great.

The Rey/Luke stuff was a highlight, minus the porgs. Some really good stuff there.

The Poe stuff - kind of drags and the Finn plot goes into some weird territory that feels like it’s out of “Fantastic Beasts” and tries to critique war profiteering/capitalism, but loses the thread pretty quick when there’s fighting to be had.

Also, the humor sometimes works, and other times feels like it’s headed into Marvel territory.

Overall, about 20 minutes too long. Definitely doesn’t feel as slick or refined as TFA. Better than Rogue One.

 

I liked Rogue One more than TFA, so hmmmmm

Yep. I'd consider the above pretty spoiler-y (I'm mad I read it), especially when we all went out of our way to not share any actual reaction tweets yet and the ones I saw of those were more reactions. Nothing plot related. I'm adding the spoiler tags to that post, because that's some bullshit.

The subtweeting about this movie is so confusing too. Not sure what to expect.

 

i'm not overly worried having read that, since one of the main thoughts ive been seeing so far in reaction tweets was about pacing issues and feeling that it was too long
