Probably already shared, but even Fox news polls are showing Jones will beat Moore. Surprised me.

Fox News Poll: Enthused Democrats give Jones lead over Moore in Alabama

 

So sad :( my girlfriend's little brother had to have something similar at a young age from a benign tumor, it's scary.

It was Mario Batali (famous from the day time talk show The Chew). It's not Ramsey (that would have crushed me)

 

There is no poll I trust leading up to this. Not a big conspiracy guy, but as others have said, that Fox News poll feels like a deliberate move to rile up the base and get them out to vote tomorrow.

 

Fox News doesn't operate or run the polls they just fund them

 

Polling this race is too hard to begin with. Too many variables no way to really model turnout. We haven't seen anything like this ... Moore basically stopped campaigning, Trump unapproval, lots of Dem money into the race, but it's Alabama. It could be Jones +3 or Moore +8 at this point and I wouldn't be surprised. Lots of uncertainty.

 

I also think that some voters aren't going to admit to supporting Moore over the phone

 

Yep. That too. Response bias is big. They could also just not show up as well, but we don't know.

The idea that it may be close, in Alabama, is pretty insane though. God, it would be a huge pickup.

It’s nothing particularly bad. It’s just people on my timeline engaging in the whole race versus class argument, which leads to partial answers the whole way around, rather than anything approximating nuance. Someone says “we need to redistribute wealth to change this, and the cultural stuff will fall into place”, while another person says “we have to fight racism, then there will be more opportunities”. It’s tiresome. Ha.
