They are attempting to do radically different things, just like a hamburger from a fast-food place serves a different function than a hamburger at a fancy restaurant. It isn't a negative; Justified is about Raylan looking cool and getting the bad guy, while The Sopranos deals with deeper themes throughout its run.

I’m sure I would love Justified, but there’s no way it’s more deep/interesting as the stuff in The Sopranos. The dream sequences alone in The Sopranos are better than most episodes of a show.

I wouldn't say fun is ever really used as a negative, but it's definitely used as a qualifier to put things on a lighter scale of judgement than you would other things considered to be "real art" or whatever. Not all the time, but it happens.

Also I've never watch like any of these shows lol. I really need to watch the Wire someday, just hope the hype won't have tainted it for me too much

I refuse to watch the shield due to its aspect ratio.

Bioshock 2 was mediocre as hell in comparison to the original and Infinite.

Also, the true strength of Bojack is its exploration of depression, substance abuse, mental illness, etc. IMO. Stupid Piece of Shit is probably one of the most relatable episodes of television I’ve seen in some time.

This entire last season is one of my favorite seasons of any show I've ever seen.

You just proved my point with this post. Thanks. Regardless though, you know damn well Justified is about more than Raylan looking cool.

    You haven't even seen it...

The original Bioshock is one of the most overrated games of all time. Its gameplay is mediocre, especially that stupid hacking game. Bioshock 2 has the best gameplay in the series, which automatically makes it a better game. It also has the most consistent narrative. Bioshock's narrative logically breaks down after the twist. Infinite has a great story. It's just not as emotionally compelling. Its gameplay also doesn't come anywhere close to Bioshock 2's.

I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again. For as much as I love the Boishock games, the gameplay ranges from mediocre to straight up bad. Give me a walkabout version of those games and I’d be fine. Two is not the best though

That's because I'm in the unpopular opinions thread where the point is to post your unpopular opinions, not your popular ones.

Well I’m going to say playing a Big Daddy was bland compared to the potential, the gameplay was as “mediocre” as the original, and it was made purely as a cash grab on 2K’s part.

If you think Bioshock 2's gameplay isn't at the very least a step up from the original, then you must not have played it in years to even remember. Whether it was made as a cash grab on 2k's part isn't for me to say, but Jordan Thomas is a better game director than Ken Levine is. Thomas also made the best part of the original Bioshock, Fort Frolic. So it's not surprising that Bioshock 2 ended up as the better game.

It’s literally the same game, but you’re a Big Daddy. That’s it.

Dual wielding. The hacking minigame is replaced with a much better one. The weapons are more fun to use. Drilling people never gets old. The Spear Gun is probably the most fun weapon in the entire Bioshock series and it's only featured in Bioshock 2. Also, the level design is more consistent.

Bioshock 2's gameplay is way more fun.

    Either way, he's incorrect.

    "It's literally the same game."

    It's not.

    Sure. He's still incorrect.

Hey, I even gave him the benefit of the doubt, assuming he hadn't played it in a while. Based on his posts, it's more likely he's never played it at all. But I try to be nice.

Well as someone who's played both within the last year, I'm inclined to agree with him. The combat is basically identical and some mild weapon variation (and even milder plasmid variation) doesn't do a whole lot to change that.

Bioshock 2 was better than I thought it would be based off reputation, but it was too much of the same thing to stand out in the same way. The deformed guy in the giant tank was a striking image, but it did not have the same impact as the guy who made plaster molds out of people.
