I'll pre-face this by saying that as of this writing, Will Yip is my favorite producer.

That said, he sounds like a FUCKING DOPE.

 

he's produced some of my favorite records of the last 2-3 years but he posts the exact same thing for every album he works on.

 

to be fair, he's not wrong. lol

 

i wonder how close they are to finishing it. sounds like maybe its done by the end of the year? march release like rooms?

Depends on what he means by phase one and two. He said “phase two and wrap up” so if phase one was the whole recording process, maybe phase two is mixing and mastering? Or maybe I’m getting ahead of myself

i dunno, it sounded like it was already written when LD posted about it a while ago. i thought they had been recording for the past few weeks.

 

then let's go with that. I tried to decipher Will Yip's junior high level english as a foreign language but he keeps tripping all over himself in that post.

Idk, I like seeing Will hype up all his projects. It keeps me excited. He seems like a guy who genuinely loves what he does, and I love seeing him freak out about working with bands that get him stoked to be making music.

Personally, I would love it if, instead, he came right out and said, “yeah new la disputed record sucks lol”
