    A DILAPIDATED BOAT! Prestigious

A couple years ago he was pretty much NJPW's equivalent of Roman Reigns. He was the babyface that was getting a huge push that fans straight up rejected, to the point where his match with Okada that would have been the main event of Wrestle Kingdom 8 got moved down the card to avoid fan backlash.

He stayed in the upper midcard for a bit until he did a tour of Mexico in CMLL and joined a heel faction there, he came back to Japan with a new heel persona and started winning alot of his former detractors over. He and Los Ingobernables De Japon are now probably the hottest thing going on in Japanese wrestling, and he is probably going to be The Rock to Okada's Austin for years to come most likely.

Okada and Tanahashi are still #1 and #2 but Naito has arguably taken Nakamura's spot of #3 Japanese wrestler in the company. He'll most likely be #2 once Tanahashi eventually starts taking more of a backseat.

I should have left that one to you to begin with. ;-)

So all I really got out of this was that we need to send Roman far, far away.

I only watched the last half of the Global Wars main event last night, and now i'm finally watching the whole show.

Man ROH's production values really have improved, those entrance graphics are really on point. I would argue they're nicer than WWE and NXT's titantron graphics.

Neither of them are a draw and haven't had any memorable matches either.

Them and them alone are the only ones that are keeping TNA from collapsing right now, I would say that's at least decently impressive.

Plus Galloway is a huge draw in the UK, and is the one of the biggest stars of the scene there which is the fastest growing wrestling scene in the world. Many people say that the UK is the new Philly/New York. He drew the largest house a UK ran wrestling show has had in 30 years last year with the ICW title match he had with Grado. I don't know if i'd call being of the biggest stars of the new golden age of British wrestling "not a draw". The main reason made him champion is because TNA has it's biggest following in the UK, and right now he's the guy there.

I don't know about you but certainly still remember the EC3/Spud hair vs hair match from last year, that shit was great.

Spud might be my least favorite gimmick character in wrestling.

Drew had his chances in WWE, he came out to zero reaction almost every time. Each of them had a decent match against Angle, but no I didnt see that SPUD match so maybe Ill check it out. TNA's death is only a matter of time.

As long as they have huge international contracts, I doubt it. And they may not have a great TV deal in the US, but they have a lot of money invested keeping it afloat.

Thank you for that. Last paragraph sums up perfectly what I was wondering.

Also, I fell asleep right before the main event. Anywhere I can watch it online or at least the ending?

I wish TNA wasn't such a clown town so there could be a competitive force for WWE.

    Jalen Ramsey is the GOAT

it is one badass theme song but the man could wrestle a good match, i could have seen him as an NXT Tag Team Champion at least.

On today's WOR, Meltzer was discussing the 8 superstars released by the WWE and had some interesting notes:

    • He wouldn't be surprised if El Torrito and Hornswoggle end up in Lucha Underground

    • Meltzer says the WWE were "going to get rid of someone else" before Cameron backed up Ryback on Twitter

    • "Ryback and Adam Rose have not been officially fired as we speak - I mean Ryback is most likely never coming back or at least he's gone." He says "there's been stuff with Ryback in the past that really makes sense." Sounds like they're letting his contract expire. He wouldn't be shocked if Adam Rose is released tomorrow

    • Meltzer was surprised Santino was still under contract. He said he knew about Sandow and Riley since before 'Mania. He said Riley in another era would've been a really big star but thinks he'll have a rough time wrestling elsewhere. He also believes Sandow is a tough fit but could see him going around the Indies because of his gimmick

    • Says he wouldn't be shocked if TNA took a few of these names

    • Zeb was cut simply because they had nothing for him

I hope Sandow doesn't go to TNA. Anywhere else is perfectly fine by me.

yeah, Sandow was a born manager. Or even throw him in the comedy bits with R Truth. Could you imagine Genius Truth as a gimmick tag now, instead of Golden Truth or Gorgeous Truth? Itd be even funnier, and the pop for each segment would be massive.

Damn, that Lethal/Naito match is gonna be hilarious. I can only imagine how it goes. A lot of belt holders involved in that match too.

Somehow ended up watching Royal Rumble 2001 a week or two back (with a debuting R Truth as K Kwik), and then i figured Id follow the sequence through WM 17. My god, not sure WWE will ever be able to match that 3 PPV sequence and the builds in between. The HHH/Stone Cold back and forth in that time was incredible.

  24. No Way Out 2001 is so underrated.

  25. Was that the three stages of hell match?
