I only have 3 friends, James. I promised them I would be at their party tonight. I am a lot of things, but a promise breaker is not one of them.

This sounds like something I could pull off but that would require me wanting to hang out with all three at once and that would never happen.

Do you even know me, James?? I would NEVER throw a party. Much less a holiday party. How very dare you.

Look man, I’m not happy about it either. I’m stressed out.

I am ALWAYS on time. It’s rude not to be.

And by on time I mean 5 minutes early. Being “on time” is being late.

But tonight I have to stagger my appearances. I’ll be at the first one from 6-8:00. The second from 9:00-10:00 and then the third one from 10:15-11:15 and be back in bed by 11:30.

The hosts of the parties will be the only people I know there (except for the last party which my ex ashley will be at so that will be at least a little bit better) so my social anxiety is going to be operating at 150% all night. Because I’m driving all over the metro I won’t be able to drink so I won’t even have a way to cope tonight. It’s gonna be unfiltered Dylan. God speed to anyone I interact with tonight.
